Excuse my ignorance but what is a B gun?
Would like to pick up an older used over and would rather not buy turkish. Anyone recommend a site sponsor or another vendor that has decent selection? Anything from a few hundred to a few grand, Id rather buy once. Thanks
Many people will tell you that an O/U is better than a S x S for shooting. I am one of those that have shot both but mostly
S x S since the late 1960's . I love S x S better than O/U . From Winchester M-21 , to Ithaca Flues , to AYA 's.
Shoot what you like or do well with , & don't worry what others like .,,,,,,,,,,, My 2 cents .
I'm assuming that was aimed at me. I'm a big proponent of side by side shotguns and they're my gun of choice of carrying guns for upland game bird hunting however, the op sounds as if he doesn't have a lot of experience or he probably wouldn't be posing so general a question about what it is he's after, therefore I do believe for someone like him then the o/u is the better choice. There just may be a reason why you see many more o/u guns out there than sxs guns!
No , Falconflyer , my comments where not aimed at you , but I am glad to see you like S x S shotguns also . I use then for many things , with
upland game birds being # 1. For that I started with a Stevens 311 in 20 ga. , then an Ithaca Flues in 20 & 16 ga. , then a Winchester 21 , in 16ga.
then a AYA M-25 in 20 ga. , then a AYA M-3 in .28 ga. I sold the 311 , but still have all the rest . I like the 28 ga. the most .
I have others in larger ga. for other purposes . In CAS there are more S x S 's. Enjoy what you like , I say .
My original comments where just to show that for some people , the S x S is still #1 .
