Looking into an optic mount for CSA Vz

I like the Magwedge rails but I just don't know if my gun will. My sks didn't at least when combined with my shooting style which means high round counts and rapid fire. More of a closer to medium range battle practice kind of style. He said 100 rounds without malfunction is a good enough field test, maybe for some. I want to know if it will function flawlessly under extreme shooting conditions. The the direction of ejection and the gun heating up and the chamber getting sticky are huge factors. My sks throws a lot of the casings straight up and some even go off to the left instead of the right. I need something that can hold up to that because one malfunction isn't acceptable for me. The ejection port is designed to be completely open overhead so something like a Kwik rail needs an extreme field test and the specs to be dialed right in to accommodate it. I believe that can be done. I replaced my sks rail with a modern iron sight leaf. I do plan to use the rail on another sks with magnification though. In my experience the rail is better suited for people who shoot with magnification. The Kwik rail is a great product but you are taking a bit of a gamble when it comes to your particular gun and/or your shooting habits. Not trying to bash it at all, it's a genius idea and it is a great buy. Just intended as constructive criticism.

I haven't finished getting to know just how my Vz58 ejects but the manual does say that the ejected casings should be directed up and to the right. So maybe a Kwik rail for a Vz58 will work better for me than the one for the sks.

I appreciate the honest commentary.

I should mention that I have had hundreds of rounds through my rifle with no issue, just not hundreds at one sitting, So far the overwhelming consensus seems to be that the rail does not interfere with ejection but I appreciate that everyone's circumstances can be different. I don't disagree with your conclusion about folks who want magnification being the best fit for one of our rails ... but ... what if you could indeed have the best of all worlds?

Wait and see .... new product incoming.

Well there is no doubt the rails make the guns look extremely ###y and I do like them to change their clothes now and then. I would totally try a Vz rail.
