Looking to get a 1911. Was going to get a sig Tac ops or scorpion. But then i seen a Nighthawk GRP on here a week are so ago. Now i just can make up my mind i know there is about 2000$ differences. I can reload a lot of ammo at that price. This is what i have in mind.
1 - Sig 1911 Tac-ops or scorpion
2 - Nighthawk GRP recon
3 - Wilson combat x-tac (Have to get built)
4 - Wilson CQB
I know the sig is not really in the same class as the rest, But just want to know what people have to say about them or if you have handle more than one. My plan is to use it for 3 gun and plinking.
I have a M&P40 and 22/45 and norinco 1911 Now maybe its time to put a semi custom 1911 next to some of my custom long range sticks

if I have to buy an expensive 1911 then I will go for something that keep the classic look like Wilson Combat (not the SIG - external extractor and different slide shape)

K well thats good to know.

I am not certain why not a Sig 1911?, they're fantastic quality and shoot extremely well. My most recent 1911 a Tacops was a great bargain indeed and couldn't be happier. Only thing like other 1911s I didn't care for was the grip panels, however a hogue finger grooved grip made it feel like part of my arm :).

I have a Wilson CQB Elite. It's amazing. Trigger is just fantastic. Fit and finish is impeccable. The slide is soooo smooth that you'd swear it riding on ball bearings when you rack it.

I've had it since the spring, not one malfunciton.

They may cost a fair bit and it might take some time to get one, but Wilson makes some amazing stuff. I'd say their quality control is second to none. Check out their youtube channel. That QC checklist they give is very impressive.

All the options you listed are from respectable makers, it boils down to personal preference and budget. 1911s are like cars, some people have fierce brand loyalty. I had two Springfields when I picked up a Kimber. Crazy accurate, but it was quickly traded for another Springfield.
