i have found a huge amount of SKS's at gun store not listed in the sponsers. This is my first post on CGN and I dont know if it is appropriate to say where they are?

Another member has mentioned Lever Arms in Vancouver. Apparantly 1,000 - 2,000 Russian Tulas of various vintage and level of refurb. I was there on Tuesday and got two ('53 and '56) from the 100 that they had on display. Price is great but take your time in picking out a nice one(s).

ya its at lever they have so many. i bought three all #matching not forced match and no ### marks in crazy condition. they put a limit on how many you can buy at three. lots of other really good condition sks left there too. Maybe parade only guns as they have no marks on the stocks like the others i have including an unissued.199.50 good price too.

Damn it. I wish they updated their website so I would have seen that. I bought one from moving target for $285. I live in the Vancouver area too.

i was there . they had about 120 behind glass and tons in storage, 2/3 are black carrier . they would not let me handle more than three rifles but i was told they are all refurbs on the phone and in person , from what i can see i believe them . so i looked at the bright carrier and all the ones i handled were refurbs and they were no where near the quality of moving target so i dont know where people got the idea that they were un-issued .

and if they were un-issued , i would cry cos they block the mag like BELL.

If the shipment of bright bolts are anything like the IZH one, some of the crates were mixed refurbs and unissueds. All of the unissueds could have been snagged by now from the crates already opened.

I'm glad to see lots more sks's coming in. It's all the more reason for everybody who has bought one (or many) to go out and shoot them. Enjoy them for what they're made for, and don't feel guilty because they're not exactly rare anymore.
And they're still a hell of a good deal for a fun rifle!

Not just a fun plinker, but also an excellent and affordable hunting rifle. Only if there were more soft point 7.62 x 39 available at a reasonable price, SKS’s would have been the best value bush/white-tail gun around. After 4-5 months of shooting my two, I am convinved that at 100 yards and under, iron sited SKS,s are just as good and as effective as any $1000 scoped rifle.

Few boxes here and there, at ridiculous prices. With this many SKS's around, somebody should bring in a shipment of SP’s for SKS’s.

Deer have been taken at my deer camp with an SKS :D I hunted with my Rusky a few years ago, and in the bush wear shots are under 100yrs and usually 50yrs, my 1950 is deadly accurate. I honestly have no idea what it can do at 100 because my crappy eyes can't see sh!t with open sights at that distance lol.

I prefer using my 1895 now in the bush, but the SKS can hold its own.
