Hit the range with my Ol' bus driving buddy Timberwolfe today. I was buying a rifle from him, a Savage model 12FVSS, in 22-250. So we were just puttering around, when he grabs the gun, says "I'm gonna shoot one last group before I let you have it." So he sets his sights on 200 yards, I'm watching in the spotting scope. Five shots later, and I'm surprised he still let me buy the gun from him :D

I think I'll stick with that load. I myself didn't put anything worth scanning and posting, but I know the gun can shoot.

Man those Savages are crap, I'll give you $50.00 for it sight unseen, just to help you get rid of it mind you, not because I like them or anything!!!

I have plans on buying a Savage kit soon I think...more then likely a M111. what can be said about the M10, M12 & M16? what makes the 12 & 16 so much more then the 10's and 11's?

very nice too! I have feeling I will be getting something very similar to that! ;)

They may be accurate, but they are still ugly.
beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.
from a mechanics veiw point, its very well engineered.
very simple and easy to change calbers. the extractior is
rugged and simple. the barrel don,t need any cutouts
for the extractor, i just built a 44mag and a 357 mag
and any body with a lathe can do it. i can post pics of
my homemade barrels tools if any body is interested.

Wanna shoot for "pink slips" with your Remy or Win?:D

No, but I will shoot for slips with my beautiful Sako rifles. The only problem is the Savage's would feel bad being so unnattractive in my gun safe and probably commit suicide. At the very least become anorexic and eventually I would have to buy another safe to the prevent premature death of your savage's:dancingbanana::D:D

Well curtmg I hope enjoy your new rifle.

I hope I get as much fun hiding behind my new foxpro caller which that sale funded.

You should probably get yourself some winter camo and a trappers license. I know you have a half decent varmint rig now.

The older Savages with the terrible square-ish plastic stocks were really ugly.

The newer ones with the nicer stocks and DM are less ugly.

Actually, the American Classic model is kinda... plain girl next door good looking.

My new ugly Savage is shooting less than 1/2 MOA.

That would be interesting. Why not start a new thread with those pictures and a description of your work?
