You did that with a synthetic stock? I could see it with a wood stock but unsure if the synthetic stock can be cut down like that.
You can see how he recoil pad now overhangs at the toe.
Comparison to a factory length wood stock. I took about 3/4" off, probably could have gone a full inch but don't quote me on that. It doesn't seem like much but it's really noticeable when I run the pump. Chopping the plastic stock was supposed to be a sort of proof of concept with the intention of chopping that wood one, but I haven't gotten around to buying a recoil pad for the wood one (it's only been like 7 years.... lol)
Hundreds of rounds later, no issues. Hacksaw to cut it, sandpaper taped to my desktop to sand it square, make the holes a bit deeper for the recoil pad screws and it was good to go.
I had an idea for if the screw holes for the pad weren't reusable too. I was going to cut a chunk of hockey stick handle and epoxy it into the rear of the stock. Didn't have to so no idea how viable that plan is in reality though.
