If budget is a concern then perhaps look for a Norinco NZ85B. I've seen used ones for around $300 and It's a pretty good clone of the CZ85B. I picked up a slightly used one, spent an extra $25 on some Hogue grips and another $25 on a better mainsping and recoil spring and it's a fantastic shooter. Great trigger feel and very accurate. it's one of their best. I think Marstar still has new ones for $400. The NP-22 is a well rated Sig P226 clone as well. Or a Norinco 1911 in 9mm might be a good choice too.
I bought a NZ85 new; put a set of CZ over-molded rubber grips on it; it has an excellent trigger and is very accurate; I will likely never sell it. I had an NP58 (..40 sig clone); fount the grip too big for me, long gritty trigger, and long reset on the trigger; sold it. Norks 9mm 1911 are good pistols as well. Had one, liked it, upgraded to a Nork 1911 in .45. NZ85 is one of the best pistols Nork has ever built.
