Low Distance Scope Dilemma, Please Help

If you do want to go with a scope for short-range - get a set of rings for it. It's a lot easier to attach/detach a scope+rings to a base, than to open up rings, remove scope, replace with another scope, re-affix rings.

I don't know what kind of bases and rings you ended up settling on, but many kinds of base+ring systems allow for very good return-to-zero (except for the "Redfield" system, with its two "windage screws" at the rear ring).

If I am looking for quick release it would be LaRue and have a buddy send them to me from from the States...

If I was looking for something a little more "solid" would have to be NEAR.
