Low Light Pistol and Carbine Operator

Many shooters have the requisite skills to operate their firearms effectively in daylight or high visibility conditions however most have had little opportunity to employ these skills in low-light environments. The introduction of darkness to any shooting scenario tends to compound the difficulty of manipulating the firearm, utilizing the environment and darkness tends to add to the overall stress experienced by the shooter.
This course is designed for the experienced shooter who may find the need to employ firearms in environments where light and visibility have been compromised. Fields of instruction will include daylight and low-light firearms operation, dry-fire and live fire drills with a focus on consistency of platform and procedure.
Day one will focus on various techniques surrounding the employment of pistols with white light utilizing light, darkness and the environment for concealment and force multiplication purposes.
Day two will encompass the use of both the pistol and carbine in low-light conditions.
Course participants will be operating on both an indoor and outdoor range environment so be prepared for inclement weather!

Cost: $375.00 CAD. (Note that a deposit of $100.00 will be required and is non-refundable should the participant not attend).

I'm in. Thank you for organizing this.

It's very hard to get this type of training as most ranges have no shooting after dusk bylaws.

Looking forward to learning something totally new.

OK people...it didn't take long for this to fill up; I'd encourage you to get on the waiting list, regardless.

I'll explore the option of another course, in the late Feb, early March timeline (before daylight savings time, ideally..), depending on interest..

I'm waitlisted, hoping someone backs out!

Doc911, I have 3 people with deposits ready for any course you can put on in Abby. 2 day carbine or pistol sound fun, I like the whole weekend idea.

The wife and I will be on the first one and I might be on the second one.

I have offered accommodations at my house for out of towners that I know or who can be vouched for by Doc911/mil people. PM me for details.

you gotta be kidding me..... spot opened up for the low light course and I jumped on board, only to have my x400 shear the railmount screw off last night while putting it on my m&p (was headed to the range to sight in the laser. Surefire warranty guys were great on the phone, but their parts department doesnt open until jan2nd, at which time they'll send me the new parts. if it doesnt make it in time not sure what I'm going to do for the light on the pistol portion of the course.

seperate question, I'm not familiar with the abby range, what distance should I be zeroing my sight for my carbine? had it at the range yesterday and zero'd for 25m seemed about 1" low at 15m and 1-2" low at 7m

Get a Fenix hand held or pick up another light from Rampart International.

Then you have a back up.

x2...there's still time to acquire.

Note the axiom "2 is one, one is none"...particularly when it comes to WML's...

Carbine will be on the 50m outdoor range.
