Might have a Smith Enterprise scope mount for sale in a bit...gotta check with someone to see if they want it first.

The M1A remains one of the highest LCF/nostalgic/generally-feel-####ing-fuzzy-inside rifles to shoot.
This is a holy grail of that experience.

I feel sorry for you, now you can't use stripper clips.You going to build a new one or replace your receiver.Bring it out on Sun. Don't forget to put it in a plastic bag to keep the drool off it.
Not cheap but given how much hopped up M1As from Spongerfeld cost these days, I believe I'd opt for the LRB builds.
LRB compared to Splonkyfeller .....LRB offers a sweet forged receiver with options of the lug, the integrated rail, etc etc....the latter, one gets a receiver casted after a Quebecer's poutine lunch and parts sourced from god-knows

I've lusted over the M25 since it was first talked about a few years ago over at the M14 forum. Saw that one of our members here had one so I started to lust over it again Was going to order one up direct from LRB but according to them the current wait time is around 8-12 months! Uh yeah I can't wait that long LOL! Saw one come up on the M14 forum so I snagged it...called up Questar and had them do it for me - https://shopquestar.com/shopping65/shopdisplayproducts.asp?id=87&cat=Third+Party+Import+Service It was kinda expensive but was TOTALLY seamless with excellent communication start to finish. I also wanted to expedite this sale a bit quicker as I've heard that the State Department doesn't like selling Canadians "tactical" stuff or anything .308/.223 and it was getting harder and harder to get these out. Originally I wanted Smith Enterprise to build me up a real Crazy Horse but again there was that waiting period since they are so busy...so it looks like 45ACPKING and I are going to build up the Canadian version of that stick....
Will post some more info and pics as they come up.
