Motor oil on the ram 10w30 I think, whatever is in my truck
Gun oil on the linkages. I occasionally go over it to make sure there's no rust, and put a light coat of WD40 on all the exposed metal surfaces every 6 months or so (it does stand for Water Displacement) If it's good enough for the Atlas Missile, it's good enough for my little press, I reasoned.
So far, it runs silky smooth and doesn't have a speck of rust on it.
Sh*t, you guys made me do it! I greased it for the first time in 8-9 months, using the grease gun + regular moly grease from Crappy Tire. Now, the thing is running very smooth, but with a lot of resistance, and it is slowing me down! My right hand is now getting quite a workout, so I now have to with my left to stay symmetrical...
I usually use G-96, just because it is handy . When cleaning the cams and axles on my bow, the shop had a Teflon spray that worked very well and it doesn't attract or retain dirt and grime. They tell me that it is available from places that install windshields, but I haven't had any luck finding it yet... I'll need to look harder.
