We do not know yet. For weight savings ideally it will be DI, not piston.

Upper just showed up, wow that's gorgeous. I wasn't expecting the bottom plate but that's a really nice touch. Can't wait for the rest of the build to show up!

Would love to hear from folks about what handguards they're fitting - still undecided here.

Yup, you just need enough clearance for the gas tube. And the shorter the handguard height, the more pronounced the step will be between the receiver rail and handguard rail. An adjustable gas block would be nice to allow you to tune the rifle for your tube length and ammo type. Enjoy!

I don't know about that. So far I've tried a geissele barrel nut as well as knights armament and neither of them fit

We made the barrel nut threads a bit too tight on batch 1. If you need us to re-cut the threads we can. Send us an email.

id also like news on the next batch of uppers, i missed it but was able to snatch a lower. impossible to find uppers for anything ar180 in this country right now

We are making some minor changes to the lowers based on feedback from batch 1 customers to accommodate more barrel nuts and triggers.
