Based on weight its the extruded aluminium version.
They dont make the elite anymore i dont think. All have those features and some refinements to the new gen

A couple quick questions for y'all:

Is that an M-Lok compatible handguard?

In an earlier You Tube review, they say the rifle has the AK 1/14 type barrel thread for whatever muzzle device it has--and that the maker was thinking of changing it to an AR-15 muzzle thread. What type of thread is on this pre-order?

Just curious as I thought of the possibility of putting an AK74 style compensator (Yes, they were aftermarket available for 762x39 AK rifles) on one of these.....Hmmmmm

Why would this piss anyone off?

Because at my club if it’s not a wooden stock carved with images of ducks and moose, the old men who go to the range and take up a shooting bay without firing a single shot, scoff at you saying “what would you want that for?” And this think would drive them nuts.

I hope they stay with the 14x1LH,otherwise it’ll end up being a 5/8thx24 threading(common thread for most 7.62 rifles on this side of the pond).

Be careful with ak74 comps, some are not wide enough for 7.62,and are built exclusively for 5.45

I have a bunch of cool AK muzzle devices I’d love to be able to use,and this is probabaky the closest I’ll ever get to a non deactivated AK’ish rifle

5/8x24 for standard 308 muzzle devices.

That sucks... The owner of the private range I go to is 88 years old. He loved my Vz58.

(In a grizzled old cattleman voice) "Whoa, son. Whatcha got there?"
Me- "It's a Czechoslovakian Vz58"
"Wow, that that looks like a great gun! Semi-auto?"
Me- "yes sir"
"Can I shoot it?"
Me- "sure!"

Yes, he went to town with it ;)

Now the real question is, will they offer this in 5.45x39? That would be sweet!

Excellent--thank you !

Now to visualize/see if an AK74 brake is around in that thread/caliber...:)

74’s are 5.45 and some are 5.56,there’s tons of AK style brakes in 7.62 with 5/8x24 threading.

Kinda disappointed by the 5/8x24 myself, but not really a deal breaker

Wow... we canadians should really be celebrating, looks like 2017 is the year of Non-restricted!

Bcl/nea 102, type 81, now M10x... all at reasonable price too, I can see future price for NR be more competitive

Its waaaay better that its 5/8x24..
Blackout brakes and .308 brakes, that means anything an ar gets you can get now, pretty much.

Let's hope we get the volume out into the marketolace to make a liberal ban less likely.

It won't be an outright ban, as even the Liberals can't afford the push-back associated with that. Far easier to take an incremental approach, just as they did in the late 1980s and early 1990s, and simply restrict all centrefire long-guns (perhaps with exemptions for "traditional" sporting/hunting rifles). Then, once the furor dies down a number of years later they suddenly prohibit (and perhaps grandfather) all of those same centrefire rifles. That is precisely what the government of Canada did with the AKs, FALs, HKs, Galil, AR180, etc, etc. Wait for it, because as surely as civil disarmament is the Liberal's stated end-game (and it is), the SKS, M 305, BCL 102, CZ 858, Tavor, B&T APC, Swissarms, and now the M10X will be on the Liberal restriction hit-list. This is not idle scare-mongering, this is fact. Anyone who denies it is delusional based on the track record of Canadian goverment when it comes to military-style semi-automatic centre-fire long-guns. At best, a Conservative government will simply hold the current line. Until the next massacre here or Stateside, then all bets are off...

A great deal of fear mongering here. 2 million gun owners and 24 million guns and a few billion rounds. To ban that would cost an election for what ever party tried. If even half of all gun owners voted against the government they would tossed out. So let's just enjoy our pass time and stop screaming the sky is falling.

Or... How about we don't roll over when the libs table draconian legislation later this fall that brings back the useless and harrassing att's for everything, adds more background checks for every restricted transfer, etc etc...

Because in a real sense, there are cracks appearing in the sky and they will make restricted shooting so odious, many will give up.
