You're starting to sound like Caramel, I don't think he's ever owned a rifle that wouldn't shoot 1 moa.
Well it's a good thing we're only allowed to put 5 in them then, I agree with you that x39 is not ideal in anything with a STANAG magwell but we live in Canada where full capacity magazines are for criminals and cops only.
I've never been a fan of 223 rifles converted to x39 but to save $500 I could probably live with five and 10 round mags and buy another couple thousand rounds with the money saved.
When I want accuracy from a black rifle I shoot my ACR or Modern Hunter, I just want something cooler than an SKS at an affordable price to blast cheap ammo with. The M10x looked like it could have been that rifle but not with a $1000 FU Canada tax added on.

And at $2000-$2400, I know my interest dwindles to far less than zero. T81, well just the whole process turned me off of that. Maybe a small chance to change my mind, if I see one on a store shelf one day.
However, everything I have now in 7.62 x 39 and x51 are all 10 round mag capable. Not like it is much better than 5, but it is double of that, and I have a hard time being enthused about going backwards to a 5 round limited firearm, with mags outside of the two only that I now need, to fit an array of rifles.
I am happy that the pre-order has worked out thus far in terms of Wanstalls honouring their sales. I am further pleased that M+M has agreed to supply Wanstalls with the pre-ordered carbines. All that remains now is for the carbines to be produced, imported and shipped. I am 100% confident that with Wanstalls and M+M now fully committed to the pre-order, this will occur ASAP. I am so happy and confident in the pre-order that I went shopping for Gen-3 5/30 AK PMags, MLOC Rail Covers and various other bits and pieces for the forthcoming M10X at my LGS this afternoon. So, all things considered, I'd say that things have worked out just fine so far with the Wanstalls preorder. Sure, it wasn't pretty and a bunch of folks regrettably missed out while prevaricating or hedging their bets that Can Am would offer a lower price. Those who committed immediately based on Wanstalls' excellent reputation were rewarded for their loyalty and decisiveness. Simple, really.
What remains to be seen at this point is the Canadian MSRP. Either M+M will listen to the advice of its selected Canadian Distributor and price the carbine correctly for the market, or they won't. As for M+M's "antics" to date, if people really decided their firearms purchases based on the likability (or politics) of the company leadership, nobody would have bought Alex Robinson's XCR. Sales of "Wacky" Alex Robinson's rifles seem pretty solid though. Which suggests that most people tend to have short attention spans and even shorter memories. If it is priced competitively, I predict a very bright future for the M10X in Canada. Conversely, if the carbine is not priced right its sales will certainly suffer.

I think the XCR would have been a distant memory by now if Wolverine hadn't taken such good care of XCR owners from the beginning.

I have often thought that if I was to bring a new black gun to the Can. market, I would include a "First kid on the block" surcharge.
There always seems to be a few guys that absolutely HAVE to be first to get a new item.
And they are willing to pay extra, and let everyone else know it.
The so-called Price Pimps...
So, I would be delighted to take their (extra) money.
Then a week later, standard lower price would kick in.
Followed by another price drop as production gears up.
Win-Win for everyone!
The PP get to feel good by paying more that everyone else.
The wise consumer gets a bit of a price break, subsidized by the PP folks.
The scalpers get truly fooked, as the price drops, rather than increases later on.

Except the usual preorder pricing strategy seems to be the opposite to what you envisioned.
How? Collectively stop beating down the doors to buy 'em toys up when deals are offered?
Which LGS and what did you find? Curious since we're in the same city I also have 4 gen 3 ak pmags I might get rid of out of principle depending on what this msrp ends up being so if you're looking for some...
