OK, new supposition to add in. 'Cause there isn't enough, yet.

Factory "seconds". Wonder how the new rifles are gonna turn out. Manufacturer "cleansing" his pages on SM; so they know the feelings towards them, as a result of this.

Sure, they'll honor the price. Sure, you'll get your M10x. I'm sure they didn't melt down all the parts out of the "reject" bins quite yet. Specially made for Canadian export, LOL.

That would be dumb, because then people will just go on youtube and demonstrate via very effective video how the rifle is defective.

That would be a Mickey Mouse catastrophe into bankruptcy, until they find some other export market that they can exploit, like the good americans they are.

Its not like you're the only single person to have gotten in on the preorder, so did I, so what? We're fast with the fingers and the credit card, no biggy.
 
I'm having a hard time with all this. Everyone bashing MM and they haven't even posted a price. Hell, I even got on it for a minute. Regardless of optics the proof is in the price... and we don't have one yet. The only thing you all keep spewing is the gouging to cover US losses but that info came from CA. Why would CA say such a thing? Oh, maybe because they were pissed about a deal Wanstalls made. I'm sure MM aren't very happy with CA for the slander so likely may not deal with them. Hence the silence from CA. Again, speculation. And just because CA sent in the test rifle does not mean they had exclusive distribution rights. Nowhere was that proven. These arguments are so uninformed and premature it is comical. Why would any firearm manufacturer want to deal in Canada with this type of childish behaviour.

It's a $1000USD rifle, not a $1250USD rifle.
If M&M were not total dicks, Wanstalls could sell these at $1450 and make a couple hundred bucks per unit.

Bingo, right there ...... that's the way it should be looked at because that's the way it is. There's no way the price should be much more than $1450 cdn or we're getting seriously ripped off by someone.

Tired, annoyed and these threads (as entertaining as they are) bring out the worst at times.

But it's true, I happy with the pre order price and I'm happy to get my new rifle!!!!

But seriously don't we get ripped off on almost everything up here compared to the states!?!?!?

30 million people here compared to what 350 mil in the states always warrants higher prices here

Defective would be catastrophic, surely, and likely bordering on criminal. No one said defective, other than you.

The rifle looks nice. Do you think that every single one comes out perfect? Little blemish in the finish on the handguard. QC no longer needs to reject that, there is a Canadian order in place. Small chatter mark in the receiver machining. Not enough to impact proper function, but 5 percent reduction in expected service life of rifle. Think it will go in the reject pile?

Not talking about negligent and dangerous things. Talking about fit and finish things that are discussed about multiple rifles in multiple threads right here on CGN that get #####ed about, but have no bearing on safe operation.

People trying to find that hairline air space between uppers and lowers, and the such.

If someone is eating some cost on filling a deal, where better to dump the 98 percent good enough parts?

Or are you saying they will pay special attention to make them super special awesome to try and gain back some face?

It was posted twice by M+M themselves.
Once on here before their thread was shut down by the administration due to them not having sponsorship here as well as on the "official" M+M FB page , as they like to call it.

I'm pretty sure at least 20 or more on here can verify to reading that statement as well.
 
From what I see from all of this back and forth ( which I have been a part of unfortunately ) is worst case if I don't like the Cdn msrp I can always have one imported through 1 of the vendors here that do that sort of thing.
Not really too much of an inconvenience.
Might even go with the shorter barrel as I like the looks better anyway.
Sure having it be NR would be ideal but not really a deal breaker I don't think.
