M+M m10x issue

I'm not sure where people are getting that they are "not accurate". If you could scope it (no one has that I know of..) Groups would tighten up, Very effective accuracy for the type of gun.

Considering that a VZ 58 will pattern sub 2 MOA with good factory ammo, and most SKS rifles will pattern sub 3 MOA... meanwhile the Type 81 will get 5 MOA at best with even the best factory ammo AND with a scope mounted. Its safe to say its almost HALF as accurate as its competition.

Interesting.
Still irrelevant to me though as a shooter.
It can hit an 18" plate at 300 meters max effective range with irons and surplus ammo so it's perfectly accurate for me.

Yah its mind blowing to me actually. The M+M 10x looks and feels like a gun that should at least shoot 2 MOA with non surplus ammo.

Caveat Emptor: beware of self proclaimed internet experts especially those commenting about guns they don't actually own.

Just saying

I own or owned an SKS, VZ58, Type 81 and an M10X. The VZ was by far the most accurate, followed by the SKS. My Type 81 and M10x were roughly 4-5 moa at best (the only scope used on any rifle was a 1-4X, on the M10x). These results seem typical too. Pick up the recent Calibre Magazine, they tested one and found the same, unable to get less than 4 moa with multiple ammo types. They also speculate on why accuracy is affected- the steel rails interacting with the aluminum frame.

For 2k, you really are just buying it because you like the looks and or feel of it, at best. Which is fine, but let’s be real on its “DMR” capabilities.

LOL this is generally what drives people to purchase firearms, or just about anything else; I shoot for fun, I could care less about the "DMR" marketing BS, but it seems some people are still hung up on this too.
We get it you did not like the rifle, that's OK, but lots of people do like the rifle.

Yep Paul I read your original thread when you posted, I still own all of the rifles you listed above and they all have their place, and are tons of fun to shoot.
To be honest it sounds like a lot of guys are hung up on the price tag of the M10x, that's OK too, there are lots of cheaper options out there as well.

Someone asked what people thought of the rifle. I gave my opinion, and pointed them to a recent article describing it. I think my post is a fair evaluation of the rifle. The fact some like it is great! That’s another thing those looking into it can weigh when making their decision. The marketing B.S. may not be as evident to a new buyer who has not followed the debacle and may take the manufacturer at their word. Surely you admit this rifle is not DMR, and those buying one should know that.

For the record, while I was not overly impressed with the Type 81’s accuracy (I didn’t expect much to begin with), it was nice to shoot with soft recoil. I sold it to fund my M10x, and wish I still had the Type 81.

lets hope they bring them in by the container loads like the 858's, this would be good for everyone.

What scope do you have on that one? I got my side rail mounted and the kobra sight just doesnt fit

I had 2 stuck cases (about 200 rounds on largest gas setting, there are 2) with Dominion ammo in M10X. Barnaul - no problem. Accuracy was better with Barnaul too. About 4 MOA with x3 scope. Dominion was 5-6 MOA.

Rifle is fun to shoot, almost no perceived recoil due to mass, M10x is a pig. Tried SKS-D chinese 5round mags, magpul 5/10s, no problem. Croatian 5/30 mags with bolt hold open are annoying as the bolt slams forward as soon as you remove one.

Comparing between T81, CSA Vz58, M10x and XCR-L. If i had to rank them... vz58,XCR-l, t81, M10x.

The most accurate, reliable and light (with scout mount and RMR) is Vz58. And it is second cheapest from the above.

A POSP 2.5-5x24mm I believe. It has the 400m 7.62x39 reticle. It also has the SVD/SKS base, that's important to note cus u can also purchase the optic with an AK base. Which will NOT fit the SVD side rail I have mounted to my type 81. I removed it from my type 81 after the accuracy test. Mounted a PKA optic I had to it instead. Which better compliments the guns accuracy imo. Both optics were purchased from eastwave.ca a fair warning, the bastards post prices in USDs.
