M&P M2.0 Compact Leaked

KKM makes drop in barrels for M&P 2.0 at 4.25". Get it shipped to Irunguns and they will switch it into a gun in stock. This is the quickest way to get the 2.0 compact now.
They did this for me with Jarvis 106mm barrels for Walther PPQ.

Yes but you would get a pimple barreled gun which is what I am trying to avoid. A lot cheaper if we can convince S&W to ship guns up here with a compact frame and a FS slide. You then get a S&W Canadian Compact gun 2MM longer than a Glock 19 if the factory websites measurements are spot on. Irunguns is going to want a couple hundred dollars to do the import paperwork I would think. Besides I want a 1 - 10 barrel, not a 1 - 16.

And aftermarket barrels exclude participation in Production Division.

Hopefully, the full-size M&P M2.0 slide will work on the M&P M2.0 Compact, and/or 4.25" M&P M2.0 barrel will drop in and work in a M&P M2.0 Compact.

I am told the slide would not be an issue. The internals for the M&P's are the same for 9MM/40cal/357sig across models. I would be using the pistol in CCP Division which allows aftermarket barrels as the modification list follows ESP Division for IDPA. Aesthetically, the pimple versions of compact pistols look silly in my view but some folks drool over them. The Compact version would be a poor fit for IPSC Production Division and unless the gun with the longer slide was put on the Production List would not qualify in any event. I have no idea what IPSC rules are in that regard.

I personally hate pinocchio barrels. This is one of the few platforms where the 'full-size' barrel/slide is not much longer than the 'compact'. I'm interested to see if S&W will deem our market viable enough to make the change.

Go on their website and express an interest. Ruger forced S&W to offer the 686 with a 4.2" barrel. They will do it if they get the idea there is an interest.
