is there any non restricted m1 carbines here i cant seem to find any that are
hmm barrel extension im sure that dose not count as a longer barrel becuse if it did i could do the same to the 8" barrel from my sten kit to have a non restricted one lol
id like to have a non restricted with a non welded barrel im sure theres some like that
You have a Sten kit and you are pi$$ing around with Jaco designs?
If you want a 19" M-1, put a WTB ad. in the EE. They're out there.
Bits of Pieces in B.C. will install a liner or make a new barrel to make it non-restricted...
so i could take a restricted M1 and put a longer barrel on it to make it non-restricted cool
I'd sell you mine, but I would have to literally charge you an arm and a leg for it.

X2......non-res m1 carbines are awesome. I really like mine.
I used to carry my commercial Plainfield M-1, with a repro M1A1 stock on it on my snowmobile. Shot arctic hare with it. On small game a head shot is a must. The M1A1 stock is a pretty poor excuse for a folder by modern standards. Really wobbly, no positive lock to keep it open. Later I carried a folding AKM. About the same length, fit nicely in the under seat box, a LOT more gun.
When the law changed, I had a very skilled 'smith install a rifled TIG welded extension, remachine the end of the barrel and reset the front sight. It is really hard to tell that the barrel had been extended. When the law changed again, I rebarrelled it. Still have the extended barrel, although its not particularly useful now.
