Did I read those EE ad price right? Looks like they are selling like hot cakes too.

Rejoice all you M1 owners. The way this is going, I can foresee M1 selling for more than the price of gold in the near future. Chi-Ching. :D

Yeah you read them right. I'm not sure that's the right price for them yet, but it soon will be. I'm glad mine's in such good condition!

Hmmmm...smells like bs to me...

Get em while they're hot...

In the history of guns, those have never sold anywhere near that...

$1000 is four digits, I can see someone spending that for a REALLY good one. (not me though, I'm cheap!)

But I saw an ad on the EE today for prices ranging from $2500 to $3000. Holy crap!!!

Check the Milsurp Section, there are two threads going.

The 2 or 3 sellers are dreamers, and one ad is there for a joke (7 Garands and a K98).

Ummmmmm...............

Maybe I'm the only realist in this thread, but "asking price from 1 WTS on CGN" does not equal "NEW SELLING PRICE FOR GARANDS IN CANADA!!!!!"

Get a grip, lads.

Using your logic, well-used G17s are worth $750+shipping. WOW!!! What a bargain!!!!

I do see the humor in posting these ads with outlandish (IMO) high prices - I think the now 3 WTS Garand threads are all trying to make the point that everything is for sale for the right price even if it's more than the majority is willing to pay. As well, I do see the humor in then posting that they are all SPF now, but there is a downside to this; Think of the guys and gals that are actually really trying to sell stuff in the Milsurp EE. I'd be getting a little upset if my post is getting bumped down by these "funny" ads if I actually had something for sale, considering you can only bump every 7 days. Enough with the copycat stuff gents. Of course mods can always delete the threads once they are so marked.

True enough. I never really thought about it like that. Good point!

There's one thread there that has a jungle carbine listed for 475$

that's exactly 125$ more than I paid for mine.

Only difference? mine does not have the top wood on the barrel.
