I still think we could simplify things by banning a$$holes. That would shorten the list of all the evil things we have to deal with everyday, like M1 Garands. I have three of them, it is such a chore having to take them out and shoot them, eight round clips and all. Tsk, tsk. such evil things.

the irony is that this was probably the most prolific battle rifle issued and used in history to fight undisputed tyranny. sad state of affairs now.

Yes they are prohibited. A string of gang-related bayonettings and drive by shootings caused the Libs to ban the Garand in 1999. They found that the first five shots fired out of a rifle always missed the target but the three remaining shots always hit: a female bystander, a puppy, and a portrait of Tommy Douglas (in that order).
