M1 Garand Stripped Receivers $49.95

I picked up my 2 beretta recievers last night in the mail and I am glad that both are danish marked. I was however a little disappointed that others got brand new ones in cosmoline as mine defiantly have seen some use and are worn in all the key areas. I know it was a crap shoot but I was really hoping for a bit better shape.
 
Got mine yesterday. Three of them. One has some obvious signs of wear but not to much. Certainly 100% usable. The other 2 as either as new or new. They have no marking on them at all. Excellent shadow. Best $50 I ever spent!
 
There are 5 Beretta receivers left. I just ordered another one. Based on the quality of the first one I received I couldn't say no. Now I'm going to be building one mixmaster for fun, and the other one is going to be getting the Original Parts Snob approach. Or maybe one in 7.62 x 51 and the other in 30.06? Or maybe... Crap!.... I'm addicted.
 
I doubt that any of these receivers are new/unused. Some will show their original finish with various degrees of wear. Others will have been re-parkerized while in Danish service. Overall condition will be much like the stripped Danish receivers which were being sold by Lever Arms and Marstar. I don't know where these have been languishing for the past number of years, but most likely they were stripped from rifles which were torn down in Canada 12-15 yrs ago with all parts, less receivers, exported into the US as parts kits. US law precludes the receivers being imported. Some years ago there was a big kerfuffle about a number of Garand receivers which were seized when someone attempted to export them to the US from Canada.

It is nice to see receivers available at these prices. The Breda and Beretta receivers were made to a high quality line and are an excellent basis to build on. The big challenge now is to round up all of the other parts.
 
Still waiting on mine to arrive. Just wondering from any of you that got your Berettas already. Are any of them marked for 7.62 or are they all coming as 30. Was wanting to do a 308 but only if it matches what the receiver says.
 
I hope to have the last of them shipped out by tomorrow. Some of the people with Breda's were delayed as one of them Breda boxes had something else in it but the correct ones are arriving tomorrow.

I do have access to more but I want to get all of these shipped out first. After that I will confirm availability.

Look man I used to buy these receivers for 300-400$, so for 50$ I wouldn't be complaining much...:)

There were only about a dozen or so that appeared to be un issued and I randomly tossed them in. All the receivers hand about the same amount of grease on them...they were greased up in Canada.

Oh I realise it was a great deal, I am not complaining just was hoping to hit the jackpot. I am glad I got them at all for sure! I am a big fan of SFRC and have always had great service. I will be buying more hopefully ill get one that looks brand new to start a really nice build :)
