$1450 was never the price.
Unless you're talking US dollars.
They facked up.

Wanstalls somehow misunderstood what the price was.
How else would you explain how the CDN msrp was cheaper than the USA price? And that's before importation costs.
M&M has stated as such that the presale was unauthorized. They obviously had a misunderstanding.
Like I said in the other thread, the price was always going to be around 2k, hence why Canam was quoted as such from MM about a year ago (see canam thread).
I know we are used to a NR tax, but I dont think that was ever the case here. Look at the timeline.
$1450 was the price that never was.
If all parties wanted to make it right:
- Wanstalls could have not edged in after Canam submitted the sample for Frt.
- Wanstalls and MM would have confirmed with each other the presale price. Something went sideways.
- MM should supply Wanstalls with the preorder rifles like they said they would.
- Wanstalls would sell at cost or less to avoid pissing off customers
- MM would not sign with NS until the ####storm settled.
- someone would admit that $1450 is actually well under retail and was a mistake
You are welcome - I was bored and it gave me something to do! Sarcasm, you say? Well, nobody make you read it, did they?
As for "Hitzy" and his allusions to whining, I defy him point out where said whinging supposedly occurred . Was my previous post long? Yes, I had a lot on my mind. Again, nobody made anyone else read it. But whining? I think "Ditzy" has confused my words with his own, moronic bleatings in this M10X thread and others. I'm told that Vagiisil will sort out what ails him (sand in mangina), but can't honestly vouch from personal experience. LOL!
Ya know, I'm inclined to agree with your charge against Wanstall's here.
Wanstall's seems like a pretty decent company to me. However ....
If they really want to come out squeaky clean in all this, they should post the e-mail(s) from M+M with the pricing info that lead them to believe they could sell it at the pre-sale price and therefore 100% M+M's doing.
If I were them I certainly wouldn't be too worried about any confidential stuff with M+M for what they've pulled.
Until they post this evidence, Wanstall's screwed up somehow causing much of this. I don't think that angle can be ignored.
So where's the proof Wanstall's ? It's obvious to me people want to be completely behind you. Certainly would be in your best interest to clear the air all the way IMO.
Even from the technical aspects, no bolt hold open or release, reciprocating charging handle (at least you can put it on the left side), its 2017, I expect those things as a bare minimum. XCR seems like a much better choice and they can be had used for cheaper, and at least you can have pistol mags in 762 so you aren't limited to 5 in a gun that is slow to reload. Ya maybe for 1500 and less it would be cool, but no way at 2k. The vz has a hold open at least, and way cheaper.
You still holding out hope? M&M still your hero?
You are only catching hell because you were the biggest school girl about getting in on the pre-order, gloating like a clown with no tact at every one else interested that missed out on it.
Now you get ####ed like the rest of us, enjoy!
