M10x Unboxing

Well my m10x build is complete.

Just got my red dot in the mail (Holosun 515GM military grade) and added some iron sights off of my B&T GHM9.

Really like this version holosun. Packed with tons of features!!!

Where did you get this holosun model?

Will be very interested to hear your opinion on how it compairs to other 7.62x39 semi's, especially XCR, T81, CZ/VZ. ( i believe you have owned all these at one point?)

I would put this above an XCR (and it's cheaper but xcr has 10 rnd mags), VZ and Type 81 are very similar BUT l like the Type 81 more then the VZ.
Now Type 81 vs. M10x . I like both these firearms alot. If I had to choose between both I would go m10x. Purely for the ambi features, ease of takedown, action on it is butter smooth, way better to mount optics,

If you can I suggest you try and play with all before making any decisions but as it sits right now the m10x IS the Swiss Arms rifle in 7.62x39 and takes AK mags. Something I've wanted for a very long time

Actually research it. I too was skeptical but watched a few review movies on it and was sold

Wasn't a jab at you. just at our mind's propensity to cliches and holosun using it. You know, marketing and all that jazz.

Iron sights on SKS are military grade. C79A2 is too. Does it make them good?

Is it a good optic for range shooting? How about hunting? How about Joe Average using it in Afghanistan to crack walnuts?

P.S. I am a biased user of aimpoint and trijicon. They are both military grade.

I'm a huge fan of trijicon, was of aimpoiint till 2 of the new T2 red dots I bought were both shawty made and had glue inside arou d the front lens. Never again now for aimpoint. In fact when I did a side by side comparison between the T2 and Holosun, holosun was more clear, lighter, better pop up/protective caps etc... but with this we one made from the same material as aimpoint but for half the price it's a winner in my mind

And all they mean by military grade is it's more robust, sealed better/water proofing and made from higher quality material

How do you find the 20mm window on that 515g?
Looking forward to your range review for both rifle and optic!

So there is no BHO on M10X. Wow.

Whats the point engaging if it doesn't hold it.

Theres no way of using AK mags and having a true BHO. The point is that you dont press the trigger, hear the "click" and then reload when youre empty. The real question should be "whats the point if it doesnt have a bolt release"?.
Theres nothing particularly special or proprietary about them, these are standard Yugo mags that have been around since the 60s and all thats different is a modified follower that blocks the bcg from closing when empty.

?
Sure there is.
Copy the Swiss Arms bho- they copied enough of it already making the M10x in the first place, the fact they left off a bolt hold open device/ bolt release is just lazy failure on their part.
At $2k there certainly isn’t any room to argue it was to create cost savings, and being a new and improved design borrowing from several successful firearms, they can’t say it was to stick to a traditional AK design.

The AK series doesn't have a Bolt Hold Open and seems to have done alright for itself in the world's various conflict zones. The same could to be said of the HK G3 and the MP5. I don't consider the lack of a Hold Open to be "lazy failure" on the part of Mikhail Kalashnikov or HK's engjneers, but YMMV. Last I checked, a Hold Open was a primarily North American/British Commonwealth affectation, not a prerequisite for a weapon's success in combat. At the end of the day, combat performance is the only thing that matters to the end-user...

The 553 R does not have BHO.

Nice socks...LOL

Looks nice. Are the internals as well finished as the outside?

Some day I look forward to a comparison with the RWA 180 rifle, which is a similar price point.
