M10x Unboxing

Huh - yours is the first recorded instance of short-stroking and ejection issues. Sounds as though the Gas Ports on the Gas Plug may be undersized. That or the Gas Port on the Barrel itself... In any case it seems as though you are about to become the warranty service test-case for the M10X. Here's wishing you the best of luck. Not to rub it in, but mine is still running 100% without a cleaning since the initial pre-fire check and lube.

Mine went down on round 12. weak ejection and crashing the casing between bolt and frame. Bolt got stuck. (It has an AR type ejector, why? swiss arms doesn't need it.)

Range Nazis didn't let me do AK style bolt un-####ing with a foot. Fixed with a mallet and a cleaning rod at home.

I'll try again soon.

I would tell them to f off. That is highly unsafe not to clear a malfunction. As long as the barrel is pointed in a safe direction when you clear your rifle noone has the right to tell you what to do.

So uhhhh... anyone heard about their pre order from gotenda? I pre ordered early 2018 and was told April. When I realized that even my local gun shop has them in stock I emailed them back and was told heir first shipment was only big enough for demos and that we now have to wait for their second shipment to fulfill pre orders. This was back when these reviews and unboxing started popping up on here. I believe I'm stuck losing out on part of my deposit if I cancel my order but this is starting to get a bit crazy. :bangHead:

My order was through Tenda. Hopefully yours is better then mine was!

Well emm, the technique is to kick it with your heel with the stock on the floor, so the barrel is kinda aimed at well you get the idea...

I am not sure that this new rifle will do anything that a VZ58 can do - functionally speaking. I get that it may mount optics in a better fashion, but it is hard to beat the reliability and the magazines on the VZ58 platform.

Ever heard it said that variety is the spice of life? Besides which, if any magazine can boast exceptional reliability, it is the AK mag over the VZ, hands down. As far as reliability of the respective operating systems is concerned, I'd say that the jury is still out....

(shooting in T-shirt).

M10X, being heavy, recoils softer than PE90 in 5.56. VZ58, on the other hand, kicks without a brake. Just physics.

BTW, after 12 rounds of M10x i shot 300 PE90 (without issues as usual). God, I love my SAN, at 200m all rounds went into palm size group.

AK mags are considerably robust, but I have never seen a VZ mag fail either.

Yep, the VZ 58 is a very light 7.62 - I have to agree with you there. And a PE90, well does anything really compare?

Well i bout my m10x and vz58 from my local gun shop on the same day, do i like the vz58 yes, do i like my m10x yes. did i trade in an S&W M&P ar-15 sport 2 on the day i bout the other 2 rifles, you bet your ass i did. I find both rifles are better made then an AR and i don't get gas in the face.. After owning an ar i can confirm im an AK/FN FAL type of guy, its just to bad ill never get to own ether again, Dam RCMP making them prohibited and me for selling them in the early 90s when i started a family. I also own an T81 and yes i like it too. The only thing i don't like about my m10x is that it didn't come with sights that were designed to use with the stock or at least come with all 3 of the cheek risers to pick the best one when you put AR sights on the rifle. AT the end of the day and if i want it ill pay the asking price so buy what you like and if you don't like it sell it/ traded it off and get something you like or just pass on it. I personal don't give a dam who got the rifle passed to NR status or distributes the rifle to Canadian dealers. At the end of the day, its a dog eats dog business world.. What i do care is that those dealers i chose to support take care of me as a customer. for all the guys that like there m10x keep having fun with it as i will once i get my cheek risers. alright my ##### and 2 cents are given after reading 38 pages of #####ing and moaning and some very good reviews being positive and negative. lol

Really? From what I read the WK180c has decent accuracy. I just read a post of one guy getting groups at 200m that looked like my M10x at 100.

Yeah, if 3 round groups and extended cooling sessions are your thing. When I go shooting I like to actually do some shooting. But hey, that's just me....
.
All of this concern over grouping accuracy is blown way out of proportion IMO. Especially when compared to practical accuracy and other equally important factors such as reliability, durability, shooter comfort/ergonomics and ease of operation. Real world situations rarely allow us to fire 5 (or even 3) round groups from the bench or prone-supported position at a relaxed pace with plenty of cooling time between strings. Unless of course, our entire purpose in the first place is to determine a particular rifle's optimal accuracy under ideal test conditions. Optimal accuracy has surprisingly little bearing on a firearms' practical accuracy in my personal experience however, as human factors tend to have a bigger impact on results. YMMV, but grouping accuracy is not the singular measure of a given firearm's value unless all you propose to do with it is fire controlled groups for accuracy.....

Did you not notice the 100y targets are very similar to his 200y aswell??
Cuz his 100y are similar to 100y on my m10x yet I'm shooting crap bulk ammo but you are right at half the price

Plus look at the battle scars the wk180c show too after 1 range outing
