M10x Unboxing

What seems to be the common issues with the m10x? other than the dismal accuracy?

With the M10X I'd say it is:
#1: Cost.
#2: weight.
#3: let down in the features for the cost, with accuracy being the most noticeable.

As has been beaten to death, no one is expecting great accuracy from surplus ammo, and certainly not surplus 7.62x39.
The question then turns to, 'what about other ammo other than surplus?'
Not everyone wants to burn surplus ammo, or at least surplus ammo alone - and despite it's poor reputation for being an 'inaccurate' round, 7.62x39 can offer very good accuracy.
It's a good short range game cartridge, and a good all-round blaster. Light on the shoulder with just enough oomph for that dear in the fall - what's not to love?

For the price, this thing should burn through the surplus while offering up so-so accuracy, and then perform better than average with quality ammo without batting an eye.
Thing is, it's doing a mediocre job at all of it.

Want a plinker to shoot fodder? You could get a T-81
Want a decent rifle you can hunt with and shoot decent x39 well? You could get a CZ-527
Hell, get both a T-81 and a CZ-527 for less than one of these...

funny thread,
no wonder anyone who actually owns one does not post in these threads, why bother.

Just saying

Not sure what you are expecting. Calibre article pretty much told it all. The only things which might change IMO are:

1. Price. needs to go to 1500 without design change.
2. Reliability of current design.
3. The manufacturer revises the design to address the accuracy issues, while keeping price the same.

I am keeping M10X, as it is acceptable. I clearly overpaid for what it is at 2K, so maybe I am just in denial and hoping to find some redeeming qualities later on.
It definitely disappoints with optics, but with irons (troy micros) shooting offhand, accuracy is acceptable to me. And it is a fun rifle to shoot offhand.

.

What reliability issues?
So if they were to shave $500. Off the price of the firearm it would then be ok?

If it had a light profile barrel and like others said was 1500ish retail I'd probably own one myself. I'd probably modify it to secure the receiver better to the upper rail bit.

well took my mX10 out for its second range trip yesterday and it has developed trigger issues. It has started doubling and even tripple shooting. Looks like the DMR trigger is going by by...

When I tried one out at the range, I was getting double taps. Chocked it up to how light the trigger in.

Best mod i made to mine was to dump the flash hider brake and put on a .308 a2 flash hider.
Group size shrinkage for sure.

I have a red dot so not into grouping off the bench with it but after the a2 change i did notice better grouping when zeroing it in again.

i hate the super trigger it needs to be heavier for tactical use .

Not enough shooting is done, nobody knows how reliable they are. None so far on mine, but i am under 200 rds.

My sg550 is closing on 3K and 0 issues. parts are not even wearing out, just getting polished and shiny. When I hit 20K+ I will have to start replacing parts I guess. Or C-71 happens.
