M10x, what optics do you recommend?

Funny any rack grade AR is probably 2-4 MOA with run of the mill bulk ammo, yet guys still throw expensive optics on them.

we are obsessed with achieving sub moa with all firearms and calibers in Canada
Dont know why, maybe cause we are limited to 5 rounds so we try to make every round as precise as possible. Dunno

Just ignore the "DMR-fixated" haters. They are just jealous that the rifles are here (and looking good), but their pointless hate held over from last year prevents them from owning one. Anyone that would hold a 7.62x39mm, self-loading rifle to performance standards of better than 2 MOA is a dreamer, and better than 4 MOA is an optimist.

Understanding the range and accuracy limitations of the cartridge, a red-dot or low-magnification 1-4 variable makes the most sense for the M10X. Personally, I am going for the best of both worlds by employing a Miniature Red Dot Sight (MRDS), with a 3x Magnifier in a flip-to-side mount. Other good choices would be the Bushnell 1-4X24 optic with 7.62x39mm BDC Reticle, or the Primary Arms 1-4X with ACSS reticle. YMMV....

Likely because most people shoot paper. Not steel or run and gun on plates. A lot also dont train with their rifle for defensive purposes.

With low grade ammo my ACR is 1-2 moa. I would still hesitate to call it a DMR. I most certainly wouldnt call 2-4 moa a DMR.

The m10x is NOT a dmr. It is a fun bullet hose, good for under 200 yard shooting. Perhaps run and gun or 3 gun. Maybe even a ranch gun.

The rifle is here, it does look good. It is not a DMR. Seems like a mighty fine rifle for what it is and what it does. Look forward to seeing more people enjoy it.

Wouldn't be the slightest bit surprised if the m10x patterns 2moa. Considering its modern layout and mostly if not entirely free floated barrel. Online sources are already indicating anywhere from 1-2 MOA.

Ignore the haters, magnification always has its advantages regardless of the rifle, I have a 6 power on my 9mm Carbine, and use the 6x magnification all the time when shooting paper. I have a 9 power on my SKS too!

Agreed! I have a 1-6X on my CC SA 15.7, and 1-8Xs on my SIG MCX and Christensen CA-10. I have 1-4X on just about everything with a barrel over 10" and MRDS on the remainder. Reasonable magnification is always adavantageous. I am a huge fan of low-power variables, especially the ones with daylight-bright illumination which offer the best of both worlds functioning as a pseudo red-dot on 1X and providing magnification on tap for positive target ID and precision engagement.

Plus being all etched reticles, if ur battery dies ur not SOL.

Man, that M10X looks great alongside the CZ 858! Love the AK-ish lines of the M10X, even though the designs are quite different. Mine should arrive early next week according to Canpar tracking. My interest and excitement are slowly building!

I’m wondering why the X is heavier.....seems to me it be lighter specially the way you have the two set up!
Nice guns thanks for the info.

Easy. Look at the barrels.

As for op. Browe is decent. Didn't know acogs were available in 7.62x39 if you can afford it definitely that. Or... get an aimpoint of your choice. A t1 with a low mount would be perfect by the looks of it.

Barrels... don’t have a calliper to measure precisely but even with naked eyes.

Also all through aluminum; upper is massive vs two peaces of plastic and dust cover on VZ. Metal mag vs aluminum. I’m trying to score some Russian aluminum (airborne) mags but d$mn they are expensive.

There is at list two models of 7.62x39 acog’s. This TA50 compact low profile and TA33 full size with AR riser. I like my optic as close the the bore as possible but if you must have back up irons TA33 might be a better choice. I’m struggling to find anything that would work. Might have to get another RMR:)

the M10x seemed to have arrived and I was wondering what optic to put on the rifle. at first I was thinking the psu 4x by NPZ or 1p78-1p, but there are so many optics that are well suited for 7.62x39.

How are you going to be using it? Back to what maximum range?
Personally, I would recommend a low powered variable scope. If you want something that lights up, there are scopes that have an illuminated reticle, but which work just fine when the battery fails.
A magnifier can be installed behind a red dot; that is an ingenious solution to a problem that shouldn't exist in the first place.
