M14 Barrel in 260 Remington

If they come in around $500 for the barrel and headspaceing the bolt, Im in.

+1 here

Just a bump on this one. Any news on the barrels from Herron Arms? Is there any reason why I couldn't install a .260 or a .243Win barrel on a Norc M305 receiver?

^fixed

.243Win Barrel would have my full attention for a future 'Yote rig project. But i could settle for .260Rem too

This thread hasn't had a post since January but we have not forgotten about this project in fact we are looking at a production run which would reduce the cost over one offs
We need to choose a profile and length that will appeal to the masses as a first run, which will be 260 Rem and a few 7mm.
Maybe a poll is in order?

Any update on your progress?

Will you able to start making the barrels anytime soon if there is enough interest (pre-order with a deposit may be)?

I'd definitely pick up a M14 again for a 260 project! I love the shorties, but a 22" would definitely make more sense for the round. Medium profile would probably be my pick.

I've got one last norc M14 to rebarrel, and this calibre change would be an excellent candidate... ...would prefer GI profile; however, if more expensive to macine would be almost as happy with medium profile.
