top and third rifle w/ dlask brake..

Hey..... that's my livin room :D

the dlask brake does both...... I prefer it over any other "availlable" brake for the m14.... this version in the pics threads to standard m14s barrel.. there are other threads with more specifics on the dlask product

Plus if you were out of ammo and you didn't want to be captured and tortured you could slit your wrists with the razor sharp edges of your flash suppressor.

Looks More Efficient

I have used that. It is good looking and effective as an anti-climb compensator, but it is not a very effective muzzle brake. AFAIK, Dlask makes a shorter version for AR and it works very well against the muzzle climb.

The PWS LOOKS more efficient because it blasts more gas upward - pushing the barrel down , and because it blasts more gas rearward pulling the barrel forward negating recoil. The Dlask brake blows the gas out to the sides only.On a bipod with a 24 x scope at 200 yds I see no muzzle jump, the rifle actually torques sideways . The video of the PWS on a full auto M14 is VERY impressive to say the least. I have 2 Dlask brakes on M14's and am very pleased with the recoil taming, but the PWS is shorter and is crying out to go on my next shorty rifle. Will test and let you all know if its more effective.

Call and ask

Did you order directly from the company? They ship to Canada?

PWS would not ship to Kanada as they were unsure of the legalities - Brownell would not at first but then did when it was BATF confirmed not a flash hider .Brownells had only a very limited selection of PWS.
PWS was looking into shipping to Kanada and may now do so - Best to call by phone and ask for Todd (good guy), tell him about my post on this thread and ask will you ship to Kanada. Hopefully he has the legalities straightened out by now.:)

PWS BRAKE - range report

Positive effect on accuracy - less de-stabilizing gas at the base of the bullet on exit [as all good brakes].
Positive effect on recoil - at least as good as the good ole Dlask - hard to tell if its better - its on a shorty - my dlasks are on longy's.
The PWS shorty is as soft as a Dlask longy.

Last time I've check with PWS, they we'ren't shipping due to ITAR stuff. It was in february though, maybe the situation has changed.

Alittle off tangent but........ would anyone be interested in an AK74 type muzzle brake for the Norc in 1/2x28 (AR threading)? Maybe we could convince Kasat on this board to get a tap in that size and he could make some up?
