Cheap guns, cheap ammo, you get what you pay for. If Chinese M305's are so good, why does everybody want to put genuine US M14 parts into it. Anyone that has owned a real M14 would not buy an inferior product like the M305. Just because it is not restricted does not make it a desirable firearm. Flame on.
Don't know about you but the ONLY Norinco parts I would even
think about "swapping out" for USGI are the stock, the rear sight, op rod spring guide and possibly the bolt...
...To be honest the only parts I've EVER actually swapped out were the stock and the op rod spring guide.
The sights, all of the ones I own, work perfectly well...
The headspace on all my rifles are within spec and they eat anything I feed them, so I've never had to change the bolts...
The op rod spring guides I bought were all from Marstar, so they aren't USGI.
As for replacement parts, well I bought up as many Norinco "cast aways" as I could...
...I took advantage of the fact that so many new owners were jumping on the "swap for USGI" bandwagon and sold their Norinco parts to make up some of the cost of the USGI stuff.
I should never have to search for parts for any of my M14s ever again.
Oh, I did change the flash hider on two for phantoms and the front sights were replaced with GLFS on all of them.
I also made most of the same changes on my M1A as well.(Except the stock).
All of my rifles are accurate(I'm sure my skill is the limiting factor) and reliable, so no need to flame, I KNOW what I KNOW, and you can think what you want.
