M14 in Jack Reacher Film

Any one else see this movie yet? I had a email from a German guy who said that my CASM scope mount was clearly visible along with the lasermarking on the side. I guess I will have to go and see it soon. What the heck...

Seen it today, we enjoyed it, good action, a couple good beatdowns, nice rides, and yes a great Canadian scope mount....and it was very visible. Hope you get some sales out of it....hell you might get one from me for my Desert ACU patterned Norc!

Hey! Thanks for that note. Still haven't found the time to go see it! Desert ACU eh? Well, I have a few CASM GEN II scope mounts coming out in black, white, FDE and OD green (anodized colors) but I guess you'd have to paint it Desert ACU. I would like to see that myself...! Cheers for now.

Well, I'm a hardcore Jack Reacher books fan, so I had to go see the movie. Actually, aside from Cruise being cast as Jack NMI Reacher, I thought they did a pretty good job of it. Hard getting around the disparity in size between Cruise and Reacher, but if you can get past that for a couple of hours, not bad at all.

As I understand it, Cruise was cast in the role because...he owns the studio that made the movie. I've read that the movie rights to 14 Reacher books have been bought. Looks like we'll see more of them.

Personally, I'd like to see James Caviezel ("Person of Interest") cast in the role, for example. His character (and approximate size) seems to be a good fit.

Nonetheless, if you haven't read any Lee Child "Reacher" books, try 'em. They're very, very cool.

I like jack reacher, awesome character, but I hate the writting style of Lee child. I found a lot of it was "jack decided to go to the store. So he put on his shoes went to the store" kinda desciptions of events, drove me insane.

I saw the film yesterday. Worth the ticket. Mr. Cruise, if you need another CASM scope mount let me know...ha ha...thanks for an entertaining afternoon. I had a good time.

I was pretty disappointed in Tom Cruise as Reacher, a 5'7 guy playing a 6'5 hardass... just didn't wash. Saw the M14.ca mount and had a chuckle, neat.

Need a guy even bigger than James Caviezel, but he'd be much better for sure. Hell even Hugh Jackman, still not big as the character but way better.

No doubt that Cruise didn't fit the physical size of the Reacher character in the books, and he is a bit "odd" however I enjoyed his performance in the movie.

I really liked this movie, it was in the top 5 for me of movies that came out last year, I have never read the books so the whole tom is too short issue was never in my mind and I liked his performance, he may be an odd ball, but he is still a good actor in my opinion, and even tho the m14 in the beginning was the bad guy gun it still made a come back when Robert Duvall helped out in the end. I did not know that was a Canadian made scope mount or that the maker is on this site! soo big congrats to M14.ca on the good work, Im thinking of a second m14 when I finish up my first one, a scope mount will be needed for the second, looks like I now know a good place to get one.
