M14, LAST SHIPMENT EVER for Marstar!

No, I have been told more then once in the past that the current stock is the last of them. It is a good price for a good gun though, so buy on I guess.

here is the post from johnone himself:

I'm a little confused with some of the statements here ....

"norinco should be spelled crap." Thank you for your expert opinion

" Marstar is waiting for their shipment"
It has cleared customs and should be here in 7-10 days, then we inspect, register, and begin filling the hundreds of orders....

"and he also told me that there were about 100 of them not spoken for"
who is he ?? are you saying we have about 100 M-14s not spoken for ?? Just to be cetain....

SANDROAD;
it is not 100 rifles, we received a full container load of them, however 90% or better are already sold....
And YES you are right, this is the last container load....

John

Hungry here: Johnone, I'm with you on this one. People with an axe to grind with Norcs should not be left near the keyboards

If it’s the last shipment or not I bought one yesterday who knows what the future will bring I would be kicking myself at some point if I didn’t. And with the government being challenged get them while you can is my mind set.

There is absolutely no way you will see a rifle like this for the $400 price bottom line. I would expect the next .308 black rifle will be well into the $1500 range.

got that right. but it's been the very last shipment with alot of companies. sort of the last WHO concert of 84. how many more "last concerts" have they performed?

I keep reminding all of you: Don't buy ONE!

Buy TWO of them, keep a 2nd for spare parts, this is the best value in any-semi-auto these days. :D

I guess you didn't read all of the posts. There are no more parts available to assemble more rifles. Some of the parts they are using were manufactured a decade or 2 ago. The manufacturing lines no longer exist to make more parts, and especially at THIS PRICE.

Just like predicting there is going to be a WHO concert after all the performers have died.

I've got a quick Q that I haven't gotten a definite answer for. I know the similarities and differences between the .308 and the 7.62 x 51.

Has anyone had any issues firing commercial .308 ammo regularly in their M305? I hear to keep it under 165 gr.

Hungry here: Go right ahead and fire commercial .308 ammo in yer 7.62mm M14 chamber (expect about 10 thou stretch, I'll measure this for any of you .308 owners out there.) The reason we keep the bullet weight beneath 170 grains is to prevent repeated op rod battering, unless you have a pile of spares. You will learn this in my videos found at the top of this forum in the sticky(ies) or drop into my clinic(s).

I placed my order by phone over a month ago, and nothing on my card yet...maybe I should give them a call......or are others waiting as well?

I emailed them today, and got a reply.

I'll likely call them tomorrow. I also printed off an order forum off their site, and will mail it with my money order, just so there is no confusion.

Thanks for the info Hungry

easy pally, rodger has said, as long as ther is one original member of the who it is still the who. my point being as much as you think the guy selling you anything loves you. he's still a salesmen. (edit) seller- 3 yrs later, we found 2 crates of m14s in the warehouse these are for sure the last in canada.

I ordered mine last week. They said it would take a couple weeks to get to me as they were processing orders in the order they got them. Said they were on the road to them...as of last week.

Just out of curiosity... for those who say they are junk because they are made up of old parts...

I'm a former mechanic and HD truck parts guy. Now, aren't all manufactured items made up of parts that were made beforehand and then finally assembled? So that means your TV, computer, car, washing machine, etc... are all junk?

I don't shoot rifles (other than my AR's) much so my 4-5" groups with irons and a 9 lb gun at 100 is not junk to me. My rifle shooting buddies get a lot better groups than that on that same gun.

Anyways, I got my scoped bush M14 and my iron fun M14, but I might do as Hungry says and get one for spare parts. :) Although from what I hear these "pieces of junk" don't really break down too much.

Will these accept standard "milspec" M-14 replacement parts, barrels, etc, as well? What about milspec aftermarket parts? (stock, mags, etc)

basically yes..... with a few minor exceptions. My "formerly" norinco rifles are completely upgraded to all original, genuine usgi m14 parts, all that's left from the original rifles is the receivers, every single other part is usgi ( us military) , smith enterprise trigger group, gas assembly, front sight and krieger stainless usmc DMR barrel.

these norinco m14s/m305 rifles are an exceptional value as a shooter right ouuta the box or as a very fun building project...... if you have the $$$$ to pursue the project. Many, if not most guys opt to keep em stock and find they shoot exceptionally well for rifle costing under 500.00 delivered.

just by the sheer volume of info , threads and posts about this rifle here on cgn should be enough to tell ya..... it's a worthy purchase if you are wanting a semi auto 308

Hmmm, sounds like I'll never own an M-14. Just can't part with $400 while I'm in school and out of a job.

The wat I hear it from a local gun dealer, they are only the last shipment in wood stocks.....the next ones are going to be in synthetic stocks and everyone just wants to sell of their inventory of wood stocked m-14's.

Am I wrong Martstar?

whoever told you that is smokin somethin illegal me thinks :D

Man... I've been avoiding an M14 for so long.... I keep telling myself "You've got a Garand, .308 is a ladies caliber" but if this is the last shipment and we might have a Lib/NDP government in a couple weeks... #### it :D
