muskwa is correct.... if you look at the pics posted on page 2 that show the chu wood stock inletting side by side with this fellows new stock, the areas that the chu woods stock liner occupy, are solid wood on the boyd stock. Glass bedding is intended for this stock. However, some folks go the extra bit and tool out the stock to use the stock liner... I would say it is optional which way you go.
And if you try to export ANY M14 parts, you'll need the export permit. The M1A is NOT an M14. It's a commercial rifle. Hence, no export permit required for M1A parts.
Considering the M14/M1A doesn't NEED that stock to work, I'm thinking it maybe prohibited.

if it's manufactered as a bullpup..... such as the Tavor ..... it's legal
bull pupping a m14 would not be legal as far as I know.
