Hey everyone,
I want to buy an m14 from Springfield Arms, Anyone know a supplier in Canada, Preferably Ontario?
Do they still make them new? also, if you could tell me the difference between the Ruger m14 and the Sprig m14?
Thanks,![]()
I thought that the Mini-14 was based on the M1 Carbine & the M14 was based on the M1 Grand?
Marstar has them listed but has not had them available for what seems like years.
I am thinking an M1a would be my next purchase as well. I dig the look of the M1a socomII in urban camo. Correct me if I am wrong but I believe it is restricted because of its barrel length. So I am wondering if there is a place to purchase the urban camo stock+cluster rail and fit it to a norinco m-14.
"...called the xgi years ago..." It was a Mini-14 chambered in .308 Win. Announced at the S.H.O.T. show in Jan. of 1985, then, in June of '85, Ruger announced that it wasn't going to be made. Ruger supposedly couldn't get it to work reliably. Le Barons listed it in their catalogue for two years afterwards.
Epp's is listing a 'Standard' 22", M1A with a fibreglas stock at $2265.08. The SOCOM II is restricted due to the barrel length.
"...some parts even fit..." The sights and not much else.
"...Mini 14 action is quite similar to the M1 Carbine action..." Not even close. Innards and gas system are totally different.
