Hey folks, I've been reading through the stickies and never realized there were so many ways to improve this platform. I bought this rifle back in August because of how hyped up it was, when I pulled it out the box I immediatly wanted to sell it, I thought it was a hideous Chinese knockoff. I figured I'd give it the benefit of the doubt and put 100 rounds down the pipe before I tried to sell it and guess what, I think it's awesome
I like it so much that I put a scope mount and bipod from Fabsports on my Christmas wish list and it looks like my girlfriend found it and called it in to Santa.
Here's what I've gathered that needs doing from this forum so far:
Stabilize the shakey OP rod.
STOP putting 180g bullets down the pipe. I've put 100 rounds of this so far and I'm not sure if there's any irreversable damage done. I'm going to get some Sierra 168grain HPBT MATCH bullets for hunting / target shooting. 500 for $189.99 at WSS.
Put little welds on the gas system so it doesn't shake around while shooting.
Complain about wobbly turning bolt.
Concern myself with the safety of the chemicals on the mystery wood stock.
Is there anything I'm missing? Who would do this work for me in the B.C. / Vancouver Island area for money?
