Well here are the systems that I've been throwing together for the last while.
The first is the 'M4/Charlie8' package. This is my shooting/competition package. With the other rifles that show a bit of the progressive history. I am a big fan of the rifle and what can be done with it. I don't believe there is another rifle that allows the same versatility and out right FUN:D .

I'm showing a bit of what kind of versatility that can be had with the M16/AR type system. Therefore this rifle can fill the need of pretty well any mission specific need.

The Charlie8A2 has the;
Colt 14.5" barrel with GL cuts,
KAC RAS foreend,
Elcan M145 scope,
Magpul butt stock marked "experimental" and magpul grip. (sparrow, I need the battery carry space:p ),
Side sling swivel.

The kit includes starting top left;
AN/PVS14D NV monocular with rifle/picurweenie mount,
QD quad sight for the M203,
Colt detachable BUIS,
D BUPS,
Surefire M1 IR weapon mount flashlight,
Surefire M9 flashlight,
Colt 22 conversion kit,
IR and visible laser (the visible laser of this power isn't worth the money or effort, but it was there and cheap so I got it),
Buck M9 bayonet,
Vertical foregrip,
KAC M203 battle sight,
Colt M203 40mm launcher w/KAC QD clamp,
sling,
Eotech 552,
3X lens for the PVS14.

The other rifles on top are;
Colt M16A1 as "kitted out" for Vietnam era. Prohib CA.
3 prong flash hider,,
C MP 1-12" 20" barrel. Marked on the underside, indicating mid 1960s manufacture,
fixed sight carry handle upper,
Butt stock with rubber end cap and non fixed sling swivel,
1960s era canvas sling,
Armalite "waffle" mag.

"Canadian" version of the "Charlie7" / M16
20" barrel,
fixed butt,
Elcan gov't optical sight,
and other stuff,
Older plastic mag.

"Canadian" version of the "Charlie8"
14.5" barrel,
Collapsible stock,
fixed upper,
metal mag.

In the middle of the case on top, is the feux KAC M203 stand alone unit. Making the M203 having the ability to mount on the M4 or be on it's own. In a crowd scenario the gas gunner may not wish to have a gas gun mounted on a live host rifle. Again mission versatility, and replaces having to have a seperate launcher ie. M79.

Bottom picture is of my Night Vision dedicated rifle. However I also make this my 9mm SMG as well. I've "colour co-ordinated" the furniture for this kit.

NV dedicated rifle started life as a Colt AR15 Sporter, fairly rare large pin lower with the mil spec trigger/hammer pins, and fence around the mag release, with no sear block.. With a large pin flat top upper. It has;

20" barrel
AN/PVS502 night vision scope. 3X magnification with a 4 minute dot with stada lines Israeli reticule. The reticule is also replacable with the Canadian FN 7.62/CarlG/TOW reticule, or the US 7.62M14 reticule, or the US M16 223 reticule,
ARMS QD mount,
Collapsible rear stock,
Elcan back up optic,
Fixed upper BUIS.

9mm large pin upper with;
Colt flat top large pin upper,
Colt carry handle BUIS,
9mm one piece block,
9mm Beta mag. World's most expensive 4 round magazine:mad:,
KAC RAS to mount lights, etc,
Side sling swivel.

Koldt, sometimes I don't agree with all your points of view, but I will not EVER take issue with your taste in firearms! :D

I recognize at least one set of handguards there....

I'd love to have a real AA or AB series lower.

Damn, what a set. (Most guys say that about chests....)

NS

Ya, they match up pretty good don't they:D Thanx a bunch!

Tell me that C-MAG isn't pinned to 5 rnds
And yes the Beta mag is pinned, but because I always add a dummy round to the top of the linked rounds, this ends up being only a 4 round mag.

In order to make the Beta function without screwing with the top link round, I figured adding the dummy round would prevent any new damage.. It works, and would be fine if this were in it's original 100 round configuration. Therefore this would become a 99 round mag and wouldn't be that big of a sacrifice. But because it can now only hold 5 rounds, one gets used up being a dummy round, therefore only 4 live rounds:( .

I do have the HK MP5 conversion tower as well, might have to do a pic later. This tower for the Colt 9, is made of steel, the original is plastic.

you need a Magpul PRS for that NV scope
I thought about it, but this stock allows more versatility with the 9mm conversion.

I ONLY HAVE THIS BECAUSE I HAVE THE GREATEST WIFE IN THE WORLD:D
