Whatever happened to the KISS approach?

I'd argue that it's still pretty simple, notice the lack of tacticool colour matching furniture and rail panels, no fancy Larue or LMT laser-etched gear etc. Most of the components are USGI issue, which is pretty basic in terms of modularity.

Nice stick, if you want to give it a work-out Sharon has a 100-200-300m range and runs practical rifle comp's bi-weekly.

Not familiar with the range, where you guys located?

Don't get me wrong its still a great AR. I have seen lots of photos of US troops in action sporting the M16's which are resembling your rifle in many instances.

I do admit that I was modelling my build off several M16A4's that I've seen in the field that I found very impressive. Hence all the issue gear.
