Krieger barrel all the way.
Why take a gamble on an M1A standard? Especially since there is no warranty service for Canadians right now (as per my recent phone and email conversations with springfield on a CGN'ers behalf)
lol... isn't a norinco also a bit of a gamble?
Nope, not when CGN's main battle rifle forum members have yer back
At least buying a norinco from one of our dealers comes with a 1 year warranty.
Canadian springfield owners should be aware that there is currently ZERO warranty support for your rifles. Don't believe me?
Call springfield yourself.

I have the norinco plinko already.
Do you guys know if the black feather will still fit with a medium or heavy 22" Krieger?
Well...difficult decision.
I like the idea of having the non-Chinese version, a real Springfield. No matter how I upgrade my norc I will always have that yeah but...and the price of a Krieger barrel, gunsmithing and new bolt and gas system maybe to do what? increase the accuracy of semi auto? But I also feel that the Springfield is overpriced...so like I said difficult.
I would probably just leave the norc as is, maybe add a boyds stock, spring guide and chrome spring and have fun with it as is. But that's just me...
Norc Warranty = the slew of CGN owners here in Main Battle Rifle forum
In all seriousness, someone from one side of this country to the other, is going to be able to help a new Norc owner out with any possible issues they might encounter. The stickies and search function are worth the reads for someone contemplating a Norc.
True, but to be fair the same can also be said of any Springfield issues (in the absence of a functional Canadian warranty service.
To "some" degree yes, but working on a springfield... Voids the warranty anyways. Unless you are a certified springfield warranty/repair outfit. Of which there are none in Canada at this time.
Dump the CHICOM junk and stay with the real thing, you would never regret it.
