M213, buying one or two?

WTF yr talking about ppl?
Convention 9mm barrel for 7.62 is more then $100 alone and it's hard to find...not talking about mags..which will be extra $50 at lest for 2
If you have 7.62x25 TT y can use this the barrel for 9mm convention plus you would have bunch of other compatible parts (bushing, slide stop and the rest, but not the mags)
Now as I have M213 I will look for real soviet TT or at least for Type 54...
It's unbelievable price and value..even you have "better" 9mm pistol, what new firearm you can by for $100 this days?

Simply put just because they're $99 [+ whatever tax & shipping is applicable] doesn't mean everyone has to get one or even want one. ;)

NAA.

the real question is, how long before they show up on the EE for double or tripple the price like the over inflated prices of the Norc M14s and Russian SKS's (theres already been talk about these M213s showing up at auctions and selling for close to $300)

//wonders how many CanAm has left

How much? we will see in a year or so :D
Marstar sells 9mm TT for $199....y can choose from blued or Two Tone version.
Still in stock

Let me be the first to say, I would not take one if they were free. I would save diligently until I could afford a higher quality firearm. Perhaps I am missing the Philosophy of Use here but at $99 I see no value for my POU.

It's not a TT, it's not a Type 54, it's not even a 54-1, what is it? it doesn't make sense to buy more than one of these 'neither fish nor fowl' pistols.

It's (exported by Norinco I guess) M213...at lest it does not have " made in china" on it..
It's a china clone engineering in its best....:p

Well some of us are all about affordability ... not Quality - Quality or $$$$ for a name!

I for one will order 3 or 4 or more! I can take my buddies out and not have to worry about them dropping my $1000 baby on a bench or on the ground or what if the sky falls and a mag gets dropped on the concrete!!! Whatever it cost $100....

From all reports this $100 jobie shoots as well if not better than most pistols, so if its all about hitting the black, or the paper, or the steel... then this will cure what ailes you.... for not alot of money.....

I will take the $900 I saved and spend it @ combat masters and buy 4000 rnds of 9mm.

I have 2k rnds already loaded in anticipation of the arrival of my 4 little beauty's...... Wow even if I wind up with 3 bricks and 8 mags.... It only cost $500 shipping and tax incl.

My M&P9 with the 6 extra mags (8 total) was hmmm. $650.00 = $45x6= $920..... Plus Shipping and Taxes....

Wow them M-213 are a bargain....... I think I will order 4 more!

What if you already have "high" quality firearm? ;)

Well with all my 4, 5 ,and even 6000.00 dollar antique pistols its nice to have a cheep beeter that you can use with out worrying about scratching and I'll admit not clean too diligently at the price its desposeble I can lend it to a friend to shoot and if it gets damaged dropped I'm not going to stress.

+1

You are reading my mind.."DISPOSABLE"... if something wrong with it? Who cares...soon there is will be a lots available parts for it...
Personally I don't think it's a long time investment, I don't think it will live longer then 2000 rounds....

One of my Norinco 213's had over 55,000 rounds through it before I gave it to my brother (and he says it is still going strong). I'd be very surprised if you only got 2000 rounds through yours.

Higher quality? I bought two of these in 1992 for $89 each. I had over 55,000 rounds through one, and kept the other in the safe. The one I shot was my most accurate pistol, and I never had a FTF or FTE. The finish wasn't great, but for value the pistol was the best deal I ever made.
I have since bought 3 more Toks, a Romanian and 2 Yugo M-57's. I converted a Norinco 213 barrel to chamber the 9x23 Winchester. This gives me a semi-auto with 357 Magnum ballistics. No way would I dis the pistol. I even sold off my Colt 1911, I didn't see any need for it.

I got 1 on the way and from the sounds of things I am getting my moneys worth. I plan on doing some tinkering with it any way so if it is a little rough no big thing.

Mastiff, could you elaborate a bit on that 9x23Win modification? I'm inspired by the thought of such a mod.

I think it was Mastiff that posted a semi-how to for it, but I cant seem to find the thread/post now. Basically it was drill the chamber out a little and take out the mag spacer and use a full depth mag.

Wished I hadn't started reading this thread :( The devil made me order two of them . Must be withdrawal as my Sistema Colt is in the hospital at ARMCO and Dr. Gunnar is operating as we speak :ninja:.

Are y working for Norinco by any chance? :D
There is no way this POS will hold up so much as 55.000, prolly you still using the same frame, or grips... but its not the same gun
My buddies Russian 1945 in perfect condition felt apart after 2000 rounds....(box of surplus) Slide stop cracked first then bushing broke off..
I mean it's possible if your will replace most of the parts I guess....

I mean it's a good pistol and good value....don't' get me wrong...but I would not expect life time reliability from this or any Tokarev, even Russian made
