M26 Modular Accessory Shotgun System

So it's a bolt action which means it doesn't fall under the semi auto rules of an 18.5" barrel. Interesting.

I'm still waiting for an answer to my most important question though.

it's only 19.5" long. It would be a restricted bolt action shotgun.

I thought I saw something about them being attached to to the AR makes them longer therefore still NR? I could be wrong but thought there was something about someone dropping the stock from a Grizz and doing the mount

Ok, well yes that makes perfect sense. Once it is attached to a restricted firearm, the attachment becomes non restricted?

Think that through for a minute ;)

It's 19.5" long. Unless it becomes for sale with a longer barrel or longer stock, it would be restricted.
 
I doubt anyone would import a restricted shotgun in large numbers. I don't think the demand is there. Who wants to get an ATT for a shotgun?

I think we have more chance at elaborating some kind of bastardized Masterkey with an OAL of 26". Might look weird, but hey... the goal is achieved.
 
a shorty 870 is a masterkey already. Problem solved.

This M26 thingy looks really cool though. If they would put a longer barrel on, say 12-14 or whatever is needed to get 26.5" I would want one.

The Gov would probably ban it as a plasma rifle variant though ;) Since plasma rifles are already pre-banned as AR variants. (joke from last week,,,,sorry :) )

are these even available for civilians in the US? Just wondering how many steps removed from reality we would be for actually getting them imported. I'm guessing more than a few.

I think I just want one because I'm lefty and they put the bolt handle on the correct side :)
