Hey guys, Ive seen a few videos on this, and read the 2 rebarrel threads on this board but the pictures dont seem to load/work. In the video the guy has a special tool that is essentially a plastic clamp that he tightens and removes the barrel. My set screw is out and it was a huge pain, but now I find myself at a loss of what to do to get this barrel off. I have tried putting the barrel in my vice (wrapped in cloth and not too tight) and unthreading the receiver instead of the other way around. Do I have to order some special tool/make one? any advice is welcome, thanks.

Not many buyers for a prohib barrel
Lots floating around after the parts kits came out
I think better off just keeping as a complete gun

A prohib barrel ?

Does it ship with prohib pins and prohib sights ?

In a prohibited box ?

Using Prohibited Canada post ?

Have yet to see a single one besides the ones on the main page, which are in poor condition. There are plenty of buyers, I put it up on ####### to see if there was any interest and got quite a few responses, hence why I am taking it apart. the receiver is the only prohib part.

I didn't know that..That is good news..

iirc you need a barrel clamp adaptor, a workbench mounted clamp and a 3 ft or 6 ft breaker bar to get the M305 barrel to budge

You need a barrel vise and an action wrench. These must hold the barrel and receiver securely while sufficient force is applied to beak the barrel loose. Improvised tools are likely going to result in damage.

100%. I’m pretty sure I’m the guy in the video you watched. I should have explained what a barrel vise and action wrench are and why you’ll need them. Unfortunately, if you only need to do this one job, it doesn’t make sense to buy them, as they will cost more money than you will get for your m305 barrel.

I figured as much, I guess I will have to see if my local gun smith has these tools and is willing to rent them to me for a day. Thanks for the advice, much appreciated.

An option would be to cut the receiver, as was done with the Israeli sniper kits. The barrel buyer could remove the receiver ring.
