They may put some on the tools in the butt, but the rifles are dipped in a barrel of oil, dripped off, then bagged.

got mine today, my front sight seems oddly high. Higher then the ears.

lowering the front sight causes you to raise the barrel in order for the sight to meet the target, thus raising the POI
