Recently zeroed my rifle at 100m, it’s right on the money but there’s only one issue. The elevation adjustment, as far as I’ve read, should be about 6-8 clicks from the bottom for a 100m zero. Mine is around 24 clicks... the sights are working fine like this but I’m losing a lot of my top end adjustment I would think.
My only guesses are that there’s something going on with the height of the front sight post? Or maybe the aperture hole isn’t centred? It seems fairly close though.
Before I had even zeroed it I had planned to upgrade to a USGI rear sight, but now I’m wondering if I’ll have to order a front sight as well? Ideas?
Side note: noticed this when I was doing the initial correcting of my FRONT sight windage. The markings on the receiver for the REAR sight windage are marked off-centre. If I line the centre line of the rear sight with the centre mark on the receiver, it sits to the right. Had to find centre by counting 16 clicks from each side... Has anyone else come across this? I was scratching my head while drifting the front sight until I noticed this.
