Its been hard, but I've been avoiding the temptation to over-spend, after an initial spree where I acquired a USGI glass stock, a Boyd's walnut stock, a Chu-wood stock (for its metal parts), an M1 Garand rear sight, and a little tuning. So far, over $1100 in and I'm stoping. Mine's a 2009 model, and it appears tight, no slop, the trigger is great, and the metal finish seems durable. What a great rifle! I use it as an up-close "battle rifle" so a scope, while tempting, is just not necessary.
I can't understand why so many replace the barrels. Mine seems to shoot very straight, and its chrome-lined -- an added bonus.
