M38 Mosins... Here they come!

Anybody that ordered from SFRC get a tracking number yet?

I love these guys prices, but they take forever to get stuff in the mail >_>

Every Russian mosin I've detail stripped has those molot markings under the hand guard like his carbine does. Yours will have them too I'm guessing.

Just checked, and no, it does not. Neither do the 91/30 or multiple SKS I've bought off Westrifle. Another 91/30 bought off CGN does have the marks. That said, I'm going to shoot the snot out of my Tradex M38 and leave my other in the collection where she belongs!

Lucky ducks then *shrug*. Mine're under the handguard, and they don't burn through the wood like the lost ark or change the barrel harmonics so I don't much notice em ;P

My shipment has been stuck in Hawkesbury all week, unless it missed getting a departure scan.

Wouldn't be the first time that tracking showed an item as having left then as having been delivered several days later, though...

Molot imports began showing up two or so years ago, with 91/30 snipers being the first. It looks like whether that mark is there or not, all mosins coming into Canada are from molot.

It was a good point brought up about the SKS, though. Those not coming out of Russia since they don't get the export marks?

I can't believe they'd be exempted while the crufty old Mosin Nagant isn't.

They don't start shipping until tomorrow and it will take a week to get them all out. I think the original post here and the items description said they would start shipping in a week.

My 2 m38 from Tradex :

Top M38 in in m38 stock.
middle M38 iin m44 stock.
Bottom My M44

Nice!

The second one could be original, or at least the right war time stock if it's a 1944 or later rifle (or 43 at a stretch).

The first one has the post war type escutcheons, which makes it being an m38 stock interesting

Those escutcheons are not as post war as you think, Tula mid to late 1943 & Izhevsk mid early to mid 1944.
