M40 Family - Who owns one?

How many M40 builder’s still use Winchester steel trigger guards?

My old M40A1 had the proper trigger guard and floor plate. Not many people bother though just like having the receiver clip slotted. Serves no real purpose unless you want to build a proper clone.

I'm still trying to figure out how to get the 2 piece bottom metal to work with my a1 smear repop stock. I understand that it needs fitting but can't figure out how to get the rest of the hardware to work with the stock inlet and internal mag.

I dont think you need an M40 and M40A1, I better take one of those off your hands :p

The M40 is my younger son's rifle now, he has used it for the last two years deer hunting and has put two in the freezer.

I'm not ready to part with the a1 yet even though I don't remember the last time I took it out and shot it.

I might be getting rid of the a1 stock though, if I ever get around to putting it in the smear.

Finally have my M40A5 clone/tribute rifle almost done....

So... I needed the correct or at least close to correct scope/rings. $$$ Ouch!!! Happened to come across a package deal on the EE that also had rifle I've wanted for a long time (Kimber Advanced Tactical 308). On a side note it's a Wnchester M70 version of a tactical rifle in an A5 tan stock. It's beautiful in it's own right... So a rifle I've always wanted and the listed had S&B scope plus badger rings. Saw some photos... Suspected the rings were the USMC ones and the scope was close enough.

Oh and it came with the correct Harris bipod as well. However I had a new one anyways So I kept the old one on the Kimber.

Components: S&B scope 3-12 x 50 LM PMII / P P3 It has the second gen mildot reticle.
Rings: Badger Ordnance USCMC set.

But like all things in life, the best things require some work.. the scope/rings were done in tan/dark brown camo.
