Damn nice rifle!
What do you plan on feeding it?

Well done on a very difficult build.
I am sure it will shoot splendidly.

Dear CGN guys,
Here's the newest member of my family. I scraped all my pennies together for the last year, and sourced all the parts for this build.
She's 100% USMC spec M40A3 all the way. Right down to the markings.
I'm so stoked about the build it's incredible.
Haven't had a chance to shoot her yet, due to a spinal injury - hope to try her out in the spring when I'm a bit more healed up.
I was like a kid at Christmas waiting to rip open presents, while I waited for her completion.
Now there's another M40A3 out there - only north of the border!
So without further wait, here she is:
Are you going to give your M40A3 a paint job.....desert camo perhaps?
to say i am both envious and jealous would be a massive understatement
love the rifle , congrats on a great addition to the family..
I'm not painting a $3200 scope!
Christ they got expensive!
I bought the 4-16x50 PM II for about 2100$, taxes & shipping included, back in March... Is this crazy price discrepancy just the cost of going with an illuminated reticule?
By the way, which reticule did you get in lieu of the Premier Gen. 2 mildot; is it the P4?
Hope your better soon, sweet rig...happy shooting![]()
Canadian tmr reticle - cm's vs. mrad
Uh.............Ok...................![]()
TPS,
I noticed this in your previous post and I have to comment: if your reticle is in milliradians, then it is in cm's. Case in point, a 0.1 mrad subtention is just 1cm@100m, 2cm@200m, etc... So it's really interchangeable.
By the way, at 17lbs, it sure is heavier than it looks.
I thought they were the same. 1 click = 1cm at 100 m which = 0.1 mrad. 10 clicks @100 should =1 mil which is the same as the USMC scopes.
