M40A3 - My new member of the family!

I was wondering the exact same thing (not sure if it was clear from my post!).

Guys,

The scope is the same - it is marked cm - the USMC is marked mrad - that was the point of my statement if you are both unclear on it - nothing more!

Clear as mud now:D

All the best, Carl

What is the big deal about how the scope is marked? It is the same but calibrated different, like WTF.............?

Not to sound condesending to the other guys, but I don't really see what their points were anyways.

Their points seems a bit mute. I love the rifle and if all they want to do is be keyboard critics, then whatever.

This is not a benchrest rifle, nor is it meant to take the place of a target rifle.

This was meant to put round holes into a centre of mass target. With how it was built and by who(I know his work!), this will do just that. I don't plan to enter any contests with it - I plan to enjoy it! I'm not a sniper!

This is a hobby to me. My days of being screamed at are long over - 14 years in the CF was enough for me - doesn't help when you're injured on duty!

Cheers, Carl

TPS & Steve,

My only point was that I didn't understand what you meant when you said that your scope was different from the USMC in terms of the clicks being mrad vs. cm... I thought you meant the actual adjustments themselves, which is why it didn't make sense to me since 0.1mrad adjustments and cm adjustments are one in the same!

Only now is it clear that you meant the markings alone, as shown below (albeit from a 4-16x model I found on the web, and the one to the right of it being your's truly's ;)):

Not sure how you could call me a keyboard critic if the first word I wrote in this thread regarding your rifle was "Bravo!".

p.s. In my opinion I think you're underestimating the accuracy of your setup.

Then please accept my apology! I did not mean it as any kind of insult or slight.

Mine is in Cm's vs. Mrad - better up here on our metric ranges anyways!

I was not trying to cause ####, based on the a/m quote it sounds like you assumed the adjustments, cm vs mrad were different and yours would work better up here because our ranges are metric, thats all.
