Why? Stag10 exists now... that's an uphill battle macdef doesnt want nor will they win.

usually estimates are built around 2sd, we are pretty far from that now
So the ETA has been march, end of March, mid april, mid May, mid June, mid July and just recently another ‘delay’. I’ll give a slow clap they at least didn’t have the balls to try another ‘2 week’ or ‘1 month’ bull####.
I don’t know where you come from, but even if you don’t make it a ‘promise’ if you decide to put up a timeframe, you make efforts to honour it.
I just posted on Ig inquiring to cut the bull####... and the response I received was ‘soon’.
Macdefence lost my respect with that comment

THAT'S NOT THE ISSUE HERE
I fully expected this would not get to us by their initial ETA.
It's the constant stringing us along while they know full well they aren't going to meet the 2 week or 1 month delay they stated that is the issue.
Cut the BS, openly admit you bit off more than you expected to chew and tell us from the start it will be 6 or 8 months extra ETA than planned. Don't feed us this "two more weeks" crap when you know that will never happen.
Not meeting an ETA isn't the problem. Treating us like idiots IS
I was stoked for this but I'm one more "politically canned" type of response away from giving my MacDef money to ATRS
Just give it to ATRS now, and by the time the SLR is ready, you'll have enough for it as well!
All kidding aside, I do love my ATRS Modern Varmint. They are a great gun. I'm also really looking forward to when my SLR finally does show up. If there is any benefit to the delay, I've moved up like 4 order numbers since I first placed my order.

The ETA's and updates they give are what they are. You're not entitled to anything more or less. I'm no more impressed with them than anyone else but whining gets you nowhere. It's a pathetic $100 deposit, get a refund and move on..
As for ATRS, give them money for what? They aren't produced and they haven't been given an FRT, but hey if you like the long shot go for it.
You seem to be hung up that everyone’s moaning about the $100 their missing, and not actually grasping the point.
ETA, estimated time of arrival. Understood. It was not a set in stone date... however, what’s the point of continuous 2 week ETA delays when you KNOW they won’t be made?
An ETA should be used as a gauging tool to get a rough estimate of things. Bound to have some hiccups and that may play SLIGHTLY with the end date, but 5 months+ is far fetched.
I was fine with it the first time, the second, etc... but it’s grown past that point when they have no transparency.
I’ll continue to ##### and moan all I want as a consumer. I was stoked on the SLR, and for the sake of people ordering it... I hope they do it right.
However their business practices have caused me to be bitter against their company.
Forget it, that would be useful discussion and that’s just not going to happen now that we have entered the impatient pouting stage of the pre order thread.
