Wyatt and Westrifle are having a dispute. Long story short Wyatt is refusing to honor the preorders through Westrifle and it’s left 20 people, myself included, in the lurch.
Through email communication with Wyatt I’ve been able to confirm that he knew that he wouldn’t be shipping to Westrifle long ago and said nothing, which has compounded things. Some dealers still had preorder space available that I would have jumped on if I had known the Westrifle deal wasn’t going to work.

Getting straight answers out of Wyatt about the situation was extremely difficult. He often left things up to interpretation, which made for a long drawn out conversation that could have been quick.

It left me wondering what would happen if warranty work were needed.

Wyatt's biggest issue is that he is only one dude with limited experience. He really needs to leave PR and business relations to someone else, full time.

AB_Blaster are you affiliated with MDI in someway or just a happy customer? Asking because you pretty fiercely defended MDI in the other thread about the production delays. Here you are obviously favouring the Maccabee as well.

I gotta say after hearing the issues with delays and stores not being shipped to its nice to know you deal directly with ATRS instead of a middle man.

If you'd read any of my recent posts(today) you'd know that I do NOT work for MDI. I am also not defending MDI. I am simply pointing out repeatedly that MDI did NOT MAKE ANY GUARANTEES ON DELIVERY DATES. The entitlement in this thread and others is astounding. People posting false claims that MDI offered a guaranteed delivery date then getting all worked up over it is insane. They're a small company, the product is new to the WORLD not just Canada and they had major issues in production. No doubt some of those issues were simply poor decision making/management related. I want my sets like anyone else, but whining about it and pretending like we the consumer were guaranteed anything is not helping.

Interesting first post.

Yeah, I realize that. I've registered in may but have only been lurking.

I'm new to firearms. Did my firearm course back in April and still waiting for my PAL and RPAL. So far my only plan is to get a NR AR15. That's why I've been following Maccabee post for sometime. I haven't preordered neither so want to know what more experienced users think. It's interesting to see people have such strong yet opposing opinions.

If there is anything I've learnt by following all the posts is that I should not preorder.

Well at least it is a partial reply but dodged several other questions. You DO seem to have a hard on against ATRS but refuse to comment on why.

I dunno, I think both products will be fine once people get their hands on them. Some issues surrounding the MDI with the anodizing/cerakote is a bit off putting. There should be a choice for the end user to have raw, ano'd, or cerakoted. Price should reflect. That is the biggest issue with the MDI now.

I have waited for months for my SLR set, and I will wait until it comes in. I knew going into this purchase that there would be hiccups. But price should reflect them.

As far as the ATRS setup, it will be guaranteed to work well. They will get their FRT....eventually. Thats the big hangup for people there. It is undetermined how long the RCMP will drag their feet on it. It should be an easy decision and quick, but it is another way to stick it to the gun owners. If they drag their feet long enough in anticipation of c71 being pushed through, they will get their registry on the new rifles.

Hiccups on both sides. Pick your poison and run with it.

The SLR is/was NOT a pre order, it's a deposit to hold a spot in line. Some fools paid in full.

Apparently it's difficult to read between the lines. Let me make it clear. Having handled MH and MV rifles I am not impressed. Proprietary parts, often machined from low end DPMS components is not what I call a quality rifle. The asking price was ridiculous, and the refusal to set receiver sets under the BS excuse of "classification issues" only made it worse. Now that someone else(MDI) has tabled a non res AR-esq receiver set ATRS miraculously is able to offer sets as well. My experiences with ATRS have been good. The experiences from friends and others(to include businesses) I know have been horrible. Poor service, poor products and outright lies were the common theme. Again, those comments are coming from others experiences not mine. Sinasta apparently has had poor dealings with ATRS as well.

I dont care if atrs makes the best gun in the world and the cheapest. The owner is a world class dbag and a liar.

The MH, and MV where always very clear that they were mostly proprietary by design to ensure the desired classification.

Other than the BCG which was no secret, what else was DPMS? You realize you can upgrade BCG if you wanted right?
The asking price was ridiculous
Thats a matter of opinion. It was steep no question, but its not to far out of line from what a similar build on BILLIT AR10 reciever set would cost. Its a little steeper to cover R&D and the limited amount of production due to our miniscule market.
and the refusal to set receiver sets under the BS excuse of "classification issues" only made it worse.
They refused to sell stripped reciever sets of the MH/MV because they are so proprietary that they would have basiclly been complete less the barrel, furniture, and buffer components, and because their liability insurance wont cover them for selling incompleted rifles that use proprietary parts more than just the reciever shape.
Now that someone else(MDI) has tabled a non res AR-esq receiver set ATRS miraculously is able to offer sets as well.
ATRS was actually on this long before MDI made their product known. Myself and several others not part of ATRS staff have been in the know since before all of the 1st run of MV had been released. How else could they be so far along in production that they have nearly passed MDI? Haha
My experiences with ATRS have been good.
Then leave it at that and stop recycling bull#### you hear at the range. You have likely heard one very biased side of the story. If that person feels the need to talk #### than let them, but for you to say so with out any supporting evidence makes you look like a shill, as seen below here.
The experiences from friends and others(to include businesses) I know have been horrible. Poor service, poor products and outright lies were the common theme. Again, those comments are coming from others experiences not mine. Sinasta apparently has had poor dealings with ATRS as well.

I am a repeat customer of ATRS and one of their biggest critics of the proprietary nature of the MH & MV design (I had both knew what they were but also how they could be better!). Rick and I have butted heads a couple times on the forums to the point where he requested I call him so he could explain things to me that were best left off of the forum. He has earned my respect despite the odd set-to that we have had. I got to hold my MS on thursday when I paid for the lower, must say this reciever set will exceed most folks expectations. No proprietary parts and no goofy 10/22-esq take down bolts.

In my mind, AB blaster is a shill if not Wyat himself. He bashes products he doesnt own and uses "freinds" experience's to rip into atrs with no real accountability or credibility for the words spoken.

I doubt that he is Wyatt. I’ve emailed Wyatt and his choice of language was very different I.e. used much simpler speech and shorter sentences.

AB is certainly annoying, has a hard-on for ATRS, and could even be considered a shill but I doubt he’s Wyatt. AB reminds me of a guy from the Maccabee Facebook group “Mike Juliet Lima” who is constantly defending Maccabee and their interesting buisiness practices/manufacturing.

Ah so he' more like a groupie then. That explains everything now. And to think this whole time I was convinced he was a shill.
