Correct punch was used and the pin was initially tight, but went in; halfway through the second hole it cracked the first half of the bolt-stop that we see above. Upon clearing the pin, there was excess anodized aluminum. I generally pre-clear the entrance of holes with a bit, but never thought to clear that deep.

I messaged Wyatt with the story and pictures and he was very prompt to respond. He had me mail back the assembly directly to him and his wife and mother ran into the post office to mail me a replacement within 24h.

Yes; I was disappointed at the product being out of spec, but their response was prompt and outgoing, which is good.

I dumped my 2 Mac-Def SLR order and went with ATRS Modern Sporter for several reasons (better design, better quality and better credibility)
including the fact that ATRS has several profiles here on CGN where they keep customers informed...
actually respond to inquiries and answer legitimate questions...
I strongly feel this is one more reason why Mac-Def has lost a lot of credibility !

Mine was super tight, I wrecked 2 pins then used a needle file briefly before the 3rd. Otherwise I am fairly happy but also have an ATRS Sporter on order.
